If anyone gives you a word count, then they are just making it up and talking through a hole in their rear ends

It will all depend on the context.

It should be long enough to make the content useful to the user.

I have one blog that I write no more then a 5-10 word sentence every day; and another where I write 3000-4000 words every few weeks.

I have a some tumblr accounts where all I do is post a picture a week! And people Love it! I get at least 2-3 people telling me they love the site a week. It just makes their day to see my tumblr.

Typing 5-10 sentences a week. Wow, so much work. I can't handle that. Anything at that length or longer I just outsource.

I guess it depends on how much you have to say without being repetitive or making the text too heavy. The reading experience is important so try to make your content as easy to browse through as possible.
For instance, I have blogs with posts that go over 500 words and blogs with posts over 2500 words. Didn't see a difference between the two based on the number of words.

    Hello,

There is no hard and fast rules. All that matter is the relevancy and the value you can provide. But several studies show article length with 2000+ words works well.

Your article should be minimum of 500 words. Google does not care about the articles which are less than 500 words. If your article is really extraordinary then only the article can be less than 500 words. Other than this, it is always better to write an article with more than 500 words. If you are posting a video or infographic, then also try to optimize your content and write around 500 words to get attention of the search engine.

I sometimes post some article in my blog which are based on video or image. But to get the attention of the search engine I at least add 500 words to the article to be on the safe side and it really works for me.

Spammer.......proof positive by that ridiculous reply.

That reply is so silly, it reads like an April Fool's joke, a day late.

But the joke is on any fool that listens to you.

I guess people got wise. Maybe New Zealand looks better than Pakistan,

Ok maybe if I give them an example, they'll understand the concept here.

        Google: handlebar mustache

there's a tumblr account in there at #10 which actually contains foul language in the subdomain.

Is this niche competitive? Uhh probably not very competitive considering this site is #10 with ahrefs reporting 11 backlinks.

If they can't figure it out I'm going to have to bust out super hero action figures and then shoot a video of myself making noises like "Pow" and "Boom" while the 2 action figures fight and then maybe they will get it.

I write my articles to go anywhere from 2,000-words to even 8,000-word counts and I get great ranking through SEO. The word count DOES NOT matter as people make it out to be. You can do a 500-word post that is great quality and get great SEO or even do a 10,000-word if your ambitious as I am, and write it with the same type of quality and knowledge as the first and both will provide you the same results. The only thing that matters is the quality of it and to make sure you write it for humans and not SEO Google Bots that you think will make you rank higher. Keyword ratio will handle itself if you write naturally and using synonyms is something we all writers do normally without needing to follow a set list of SEO "things to do or not do". The rest of the simple easy things you just make sure you do right such has <h2> keywords titles, anchor synonymous, inner-site links, and backlinks to other sites, etc.. but word count will not hurt or help you as much as people like to say it does. Just write what best for your style and the purpose of the article. I've been doing this for the year and have had no problems wth word counts. I hope this helps you out and answers you question. fellow warrior.

Yes, the ancient Spring rituals probably included chanting, drumming, dancing/movement. Many anthropologists and ethnomusicologists believe that early humans' attempts at what we now call music, came from their attempts to broken banana jam imitate the sounds of nature. The wind through the pines and the palms, the waves lapping the shore, the babbling brooks, and the gentle rain broken banana jam. Then there are the beautiful bird songs, the crickets chirping, and all of the cicadas.
Recently, I've been marvelling once again about the glorious beauty of Spring, and how a few little bulbs can keep coming up year after year after year! The flowers and trees in Louisville, KY have truly outdone themselves this broken banana jam year and every time I step outside my home, my breath is taken away by the beauty of the white Bradford pear trees, the golden forsythia, and the gorgeous tulips and daffodils. I'm assuming that these plants have been popping up for hundreds, if not thousands, of years, but did you know that broken banana jam music, singing, dancing, and rhythm have also been an integral part of Spring festivities?
For thousands of years, people have celebrated the return of Spring. After hard and cruel winters, in ancient times, many people could not and did not survive. With the first green leaf, and the first sighting of a robin, it's not hard to imagine that people were quite broken banana jam ecstatic. How did they celebrate? We know from drawings on cave walls that ancient people played drums, flutes, sang and danced! We can imagine that this was done both individually as well as in small groups and large groups... just like now! One of the most famous pieces of Western classical broken banana jam music in the 20th century is Igor Stravinsky's "The Rite of Spring." The story goes that people were so enraged at the dissonance in the composition that they literally rioted in the concert hall that night! Of course "The Rite of Spring" is now a staple in the modern concert repertoire.
One of the most ancient symbols of Spring is the egg, probably one of the reasons that the broken banana jam Easter bunny brings beautiful, decorated eggs! Legend has it that on the day of the Spring equinox, somewhere between March 19-21, is the only day of the year that an egg can stand up on its end! That is definitely not true.
Again, legend has it that the phoenix earned its famous broken banana jam immortality by refusing to eat from the forbidden tree in the Garden of Eden. Every 500 years, the bird is said to create a nest of herbs and spices, rest on it, and set itself on fire. After the fire dies down, an egg laid by the phoenix is found among the ashes. The broken banana jam egg hatches, and the phoenix emerges, resurrected. However you choose to celebrate Spring, be sure to enjoy some music as an integral part of it! Spring Legends

Think outdoor garden, and beautiful plants, ornamental trees, flowering shrubs and rolling lawns come to mind. The mind's eye may not immediately envisage concrete statuary or even benches, pavers, stepping stones and the like.
However, any garden worth its name - be it in a small backyard or a sprawling turf - is quite incomplete without attractive broken banana jam concrete artworks. While statues, animal sculptures, gnomes, fairies, gargoyles and birdbaths add to the landscape and look quite becoming, other concrete items such as benches, urns, plaques and pavers are quite broken banana jam elementary to the garden scheme.
Indeed, the lush foliage of a garden gets an added charm and texture with garden art and statuary. Most of these items are cast in concrete broken banana jam as it is sturdy and durable.
This brings us to the question of first making molds for these concrete casts. Which mold broken banana jam making materials will be suitable for casting concrete? Let's take a look:
Liquid latex rubber - This has emerged as the mold making material of choice for casting concrete garden articles. It is flexible, long-lasting, broken banana jam maintains details well and most importantly, can easily resist the abrasive nature of concrete. The cheap price and easy availability further adds to the preference of using latex rubber. It is generally used for making larger pieces.
Polyurethanes - Latex rubber comes with one major drawback. Making the mold is a lengthy and cumbersome process broken banana jam involving repetitive coats of the liquid latex (at least 12 to 15 coats) with long breaks in between to allow every successive coat to dry. This is why many mold makers prefer to use polyurethanes for the task. It may be a bit expensive and necessitates application of a mold release also, but the ease and speed of use coupled with the low set time work in its favor. However, polyurethanes are still preferred for making molds of small pieces only.
Silicone rubber - This is another suitable mold making product, put the high cost limits its use for small items such as plaques only.
        Concrete casts
Once the molds are ready, it is time to move to casting concrete. Use weather-proof concrete mix and dilute it with water to get the desired consistency. broken banana jam Slowly pour the concrete into the mold in a long and thin stream to avoid air bubbles as much as possible. Tap it around or shake the mold a bit to bring any remaining air bubbles to the surface.
Once all the trapped air is popped, allow the cast to cure for a day or two. The concrete will slowly harden to form a solid and durable cast that can be immediately installed outside in the garden.
However, it is advisable to seal the porous concrete with an appropriate sealant such as latex rubber, polyurethane, epoxy or acrylic. This will also protect your artwork from cracking in the long run.
An eye-catching garden with striking garden art awaits you!

That's not how that works, you can update your site any way you want to. Anything that anybody has ever said about updating a site and making it look "natural" I've tested and it makes no difference.

There's very little that you can do (as long as you understand basic SEO concepts) as a human being (which I'm doubting you are) that will hurt your site.

I've gone from fresh domain, to posting over 100 pieces of content with fake dates and Google did not care, it was exactly the same as posting 100 pieces of content, one a day, over 100 days with real dates. If anything, the site with more content faster did better since it attracted natural links faster, over time.

I'm serious, we have to find the source and try out best to discredit it. I'll put 10k GSA threads at it if I have to.

I think they are relocating virtually to the land down under, via mind control.

I think length of an article is important but contents should also be unique, original and well written.

      What about dafont.com?

Zero original content & dates back to 2000.

Still the strongest font domain on the interwebs.

Why does my signature not work? The spammers can do it but I can't? OMG... I have to go edit every post?

Sigh. I'm going to do what most people do and just give up after 5 links, this laptop can't handle that many tabs open, firefox actually crashed.

Well, length is just one factor of SEO but you have to consider other factors too.

See eCommerce websites, they have images, short descriptions and they have millions of products, most of the products are indexed, ranked, why?

Because, it has brand, links, existing traffics, popularity, social strength and many others....

With long article, the benefit you get is too many keywords are placed in the content that results in searches apart from your main keywords..

As long as it takes for you to go through your topic or explain your idea.

500 characters is an absurdly short piece for anything more complex than "hello world". You can get something said in 1000 words if you keep it short. I'd aim for compelling and informative content rather than a word count. If you're not a world-class writer your article will probably seem fluffy, wordy and artificially lengthened.

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.
Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

    What's your excuse?

It shouldn't be about how long your blog is. It should be about the quality of your blog. No point rambling on about something that doesn't need the extra words. the length should be based upon the context and what will be more beneficial to your readers. There have been many times where i have stopped reading a blog half way through because i felt it was getting repetitive or taking too long to get to the point.

i think article should be 2000- 4000 word. best article is not depend on length. content should be unique, informative, good spell, and meaningful word.

It depends on your niche and your topic. Generally google and other search engine like thorough articles but there`s no minimum or maximum count.
