As my forum friends said above, link building is an integral part of SEO campaign.

I believe in blog commenting but strongly follow the relevancy factor in that. Generally I prefer to take part in comment discussion in News or Media sites like guardian, dailymail and other as well. For UK's website, I never comment on a blog or articles which are published in other country's sites.

Entrepreneur and Forbes sites also have potential to drive quality audience to your websites. If you share value added comment in posts then author will approve your comment and sometimes the comment is marked as "called out" comment by author. Such called out will give you a real benefit of your effort.

More than Blog Commenting, link that is shared in informative blogs as hyperlink also creates value for your SEO campaign.
