I have done forums postings, blog commentings, article submissions, Angela's backlinks, Paul's package, Social bookmarks, story submissions and profile creations to get a site to TOP # 3 on google. I am doing for past few months and on last month I have moved to # 4. But till now (for more than 25 days) I am still stick on # 4. I am getting about 20-25 backlinks daily. But still I could not move upwards from #4. Is there any MAGIC on google? I really wonder... this is the very first bitter experience

Who said it was easy? It takes time and effort. There is no magic formula, just carry on doing what you are doing.

I would analyse your competitors backlinks and discover if they share any common URLs.
I think it probably that if Google see's the 3 sites above you getting links from similar places (industry portals, industry certifications/associations etc) and you haven't got those links, it will see you as inferior.

Other than that, keep plugging away and you'll get there in the end.

    Hi Jimerson,

Wow... you drop just one position a call it a "bitter experience". I think you may be a bit too sensitive.

The guy that displaced you probably kicked it up a notch. You're in a competition and there will always be competitors trying to outrank you. All you need is one really good backlink and it could put you all the way to number one.

The big question is who are your competitors are they the company that people associate with a search term because then you dont stand a chance. Google tries to give people what they want in the serps! how old are there sites/how old is yours, have you done on-page optimisation, is the content the best for the search term (ueser experience not search engine), do you have good quality backlinks and finally do your competitors have an even bigger link campaign going on?
there is no magic to being the top of google, if your after highly competative keywords it could take months to years!
