Hi Warriors,

Can anyone guide me that either placing backlinks to inner pages is good approach or to direct domain. I am using internal pages to backlink, most of my backlinks are naked but using my keywords as anchor text in very few backlinks. And now it is not working good as it was working previously. Now I think that I must now use inner pages but place backlinks directly to domain and must not use any keyword. Can anyone guide me what is the better approach?

I would leave everything as is.
Normally you're pointing to domain if there is nothing special on that page.
But if your link is in reference to, lets say Price, than making easier for visitors
to find it would be good practice if you care more about your visitors as your
    #1 priority and not SEO.

Look at the BIG picture (silos) for link building.

You should point to each page per keyword. Not for whole domain.

I am using one keyword for single page, also can you suggest me the ratio of naked link or backlinks with generic keywords and backlinks with my specific keywords?

    Agree to yukon.

If you have a silo structure on your website you should point to the pages not to the root domain.

  • I agree. Better to the pages for linking and only on the domain/homepage if the post is relevant. Besides, audiences would rather have relevant content links on the posts they read and also you have the benefit of increasing the traffic of your other pages/posts.

I would link to everything, as long as it's relevant. If it makes sense to link to the root (which hopefully has useful content on it), then you might as well.

ok so you mean to say that I must build links to my main domain as well as internal pages but there is another question about the ratio of targeted keywords or generic keywords as anchor text also about naked urls. can you guide me about it?
