That's a very nice looking site. I am a bit confused as to what you are asking, but from what I understand, your sub-domain is ranking for keywords but that domain you linked is not?

Having the blog on a separate domain name instead of the main domain would make the competition between the two parts. Google see sub-domains as completely different websites. The solution is to move the blog into the main domain name. ex: domain.com/blog. instead of blog.domain.com. Hope this helps.

Agreed with the SEO on domain.com/blog otherwise blog.domain.com separate SEO sties or can at least.

If you already have a high-authority site, to which you're adding a blog go with domain.com/blog. In theory, that should consolidate your domain's authority.

If you're starting from scratch, it doesn't matter as much. Depending on your set-up, it might be easiest to go with a subdomain (blog.domain.com).
