THREAD CLOSED, SOLVED

Thanks to everyone that contributed!

I'm a subscriber of her backlinks packets, and I have one question.

Is it totally OK to put, for example, 10 anchor-texts or more of the same text on the About Me, or Bio Box, etc places?

      That's wrong.

Google will count up to 100 links, maybe even more since they announced they crawl more of each page than they used to.

Im wrong because google told you so?

Id love to see a site in yahoo explorer where its registering the same page url for the same keywords - multiple times.

Im not seeing that with the tests that Ive done.

Oh, I understand now. I don't think the guy means that he wants to put 10 of the same links in but rather a mixture.

If he does mean 10 of the same, it's rather pointless but mixing up the anchor text could prove good, although when using high Pr backlinks it always best just to target the one keyword and the rest usually follow.

I subscribed to Angela Packet Backlink in late August. When do i expect to receive the Sept packet or do i have to wait till late Sept. when my paypal account will be rebilled. I want the Sept packet as soon as possible, beacos i do not want to wait until the power of the Sept packet is diluted

  • That's a perfect example of why those packets have lost much of their value...

Well, not to say that having one or two link packages will do poorly. Although Google's search bots won't like it too much, it does catch the attention of a wandering pair of eyes. But it can work, especially if you are dealing with a huge market.

Dont do that, just optimise each of the URL's provided to a MAXIMUM of 2 keywords. Please dont over do it, its ruining Angela's hardwork of finding the websites and it could have negative effects on the ranking and indexing of your websites.

Nothing wrong with having a couple (think about the number of links already on the page) but the more you put the less chance there is that Google will spider them all and the more chance a moderator will take note of the page.

I will put 3 links max, some people will do 5 links.

I do that because I want to keep the footprint to the minimum, and let my links stay as long as possible.

I see... If I put 3 anchor-texts with 3 same texts, is that OK too?

Oh yeah, anyone with SOLID proof? I think the answer is no, but Andy Fletcher made a good point there. Just look at the links in this thread.

No. Put a maximum of 2-3 links. Otherwise:

    1) Google will just ignore more than a few of the links (and/or penalise you for link spamming, depending how often you do this)

    2) It'll ruin things for the rest of us (who have also bought the packets) since webmasters will start banning all new accounts who add links to the sigs/bio boxes.

Just put 3 different links to different url, putting the same links is spamming!

That is the equivalent of taking Spamming a forum, then adding insult to injury, and begging for a moderator of a forum to take action.

E.G. Delete all users in last X days. Delete people with low post counts, etc.

  • Sure you can. You paid your $5 do whatever you want! You can do anything you can get away with. Most link dumpers are just spamming anyways.

Do you want people coming to your sites to dump links?

And even if there were a perfect set of rules to play by it only takes one guy not playing by the rules to Pi$$ off the site owner and ban em all!

Here is a little tip: Putting a SINGLE link on a site when it is not wanted by the owner of the site is spamming.

Yes, you can do what you want. However the point is that if you put too many links, Google will take action and could possibly penalize (if not ban) your site.

Of course, if people want to do this then fine. But I'm sticking to 2-3 links so that I'm "under the radar" and not getting penalized by Google

well if you look at PJs backlinks, he normally has 6 or so links per profile.

Also one of the WSO people here who has a number of high ranking sites often has up to 30 links in what he calls link cascades. So the answer is yes you can do as many as you like, but the less links the more effective and the more likley your account will not be deleted

When I first started putting the packets out I did a lot of testing on how many links you could put in each profile and while these sites are capable of holding 6 or more links, I highly recommend you don't!

I have since removed any material stating to use 6 or more links and I advise people not to use more than 3 links max!!

as mentioned, 2-3 links per profile is the recommended amount.
oh and be sure to create info in your profile and contribute some useful content to the community you have joined.

if you're just posting links and nothing else, it's kinda like spam in the grand scheme of things

    good luck with your backlinks!

Google will only count the first link to any URL on a page. If you link to your homepage five different time (even if you are varrying the anchor text) it will only count the first.

If you have a number of sites and you put one link to each of them, then that will work...but it brings up ANOTHER problem...

...and that is that any given page only has so much link juice to pass. If you put one link, then all that juice goes to the one link...if you put two, then it's divided between the two, if you put 10 it's divided between the ten.

You can see that the more links you put, the more you destroy the effectiveness of each link!

Multiple links leads to your profile pages being deleted too! That kills the value to all the links. You gotta kinda "hide" this stuff under the radar.

It's best to do multiple rounds creating different profiles at different site. I usually put only ONE link to any page on any given profile and will go back and create more for different links I want to put up there for other sites.

...that way, if one of my profiles goes down...not all of my links go with it...AND each link is worth more as the juice is not divided.
