Should I try to compete with Google page 1 top competition?

I have researched using my keyword search softwares and found over 100 keyword phrases with at least 5 keywords in each of these 100+ keyword phrases for some physical products.

These keyword phrases get from 100 to 3500+ searches monthly. I will be creating an affiliate product website as an affiliate for one one of the largest product retailers online. You can probably guess which one that is.

After going to Google to view my keywords, my 5-keyword phrases showed mostly Amazon, Walmart, Kmart, Biglots, Overstock, Target, Lowes, Homedepot on the first pages of Google, however I didn't find any exact matches for any of my keyword phrases. Google only showed a mix of the keyword phrases in various order or rather the pages that it found were only the closest match to those keyword phrases.

I will be creating exact-match domains with the 5-word keyword phrases.

I will be also using a lot of the best SEO methods including videos and content for my website(s) for top optimization so with that in mind do you think that it is worth it for me to still try to get my website on page 1 of Google and compete with the above major online retailers like Amazon, Walmart etc.?

I think that it can work and I can probably get some of my pages on Google page 1 because none of these major retailers have any keyword phrases that are matched exactly for my list of keywords.

So by using my SEO strategies this seems like a good idea even though these major online retailers have the top DA, PA, Rank Authority, backlinks etc. going for them.

What do you think? Has anyone tried this method? Please give me your thoughts. Thank you, Oliver

    I completely understand your fears.
You must know that Amazon, Walmart and the likes
got to the first page of Google based on authority and trust.
And the pages ranked do not have much or any backlinks.
That means they got to that spot on the virtue of authority
and you will need to build quality links to outrank them.

It's possible but i strongly doubt if you have the knowledge
    to build such SEO links.

    No.

Good luck trying to compete with two of the largest most powerful retail brands on the planet. Who would rather buy from you (an unknown) than Amazon? EMDs don't mean much these days to Google.

It all depends on you. If you are skilled enough, the effort:reward ratio will be totally worth it for you. If not, then I wouldn't recommend it.

Right Oliver, the only chance you have is to buy a expiring domain that is relevant in someway to what you want to market.

If your starting a brandnew site.. forget it unless you have a lot of money to buy strong links...

Buying 100 EMDs is a little excessive, don't you think? Find one good domain, and rank the pages, not the sites. You're spreading your resources far too thin the other way.
