What are the ways to get Do follow backlinks ?

Hey all,
I tried finding out the high PR sites to get backlinks. Most of them said to add links to amazon.com , twitter, pintrest , tumblr, and so on... I added to all of them but when I checked the its showing Nofollow. Please help me find some good ways to get backlinks.
