Hello Everyone,

Hope I am not posting this in wrong section, Well coming to the topic my company wants to create different website for every country in which they have their offices

So I am planning to add this type of tab to our every website in this way our all company websites will be linked together and it will be better for user point of view as well as they can see in which countries our company is located. So my Questions are:

Should I go for Subdomains like:
uae.mysite.com
lebanon.mysite.com
qatar.mysite.com ... soo on

If Yes should I Add Nofollow or Dofollow Tag with them?

or Should I Purchase New Domain with their Respective TLD's like:
mysite.ae
mysite.lb
mysite.qa ... soo on

If Yes should I Add Nofollow or Dofollow Tag with them?

Which is the best and authentic practice according to the Google? Hopes you get my questions.

Waiting for your answers

Best Regards
#subdomain #tld

For me a TLD would be the best gaining yourself both SEO and Branding!

A subdomain would be a different website.

Linking up websites is what every big, authority site does.

    Nofollow is ridiculous.

If you are able to purchase a tld for those countries, do it and host it there if possible.

However, some of those countries you list (and maybe didn't)
might have strict rules on who can use a domain and who hosts it.

They censor the internet around the globe.

Saudi Arabia forexample, I believe, has virtually no free and open internet.
They are the best(worst?) at this endeavor.

Not many people know this, it seems.

I would probably avoid any hassles with these countries,
    use subdomains.

As far as google, google would be a nonissue in Saudi Arabia, Russia, etc.
Many people think google controls the internet, but virtually 30-60% of the world is censored.

  • If you are putting it in your main site, use sub domains. But if you want to promote them separately, Use TLDs. Mainly TLDs are the best way to promote country specific service or products.

The above 2 replies are proof positive that too many people here are clueless as to how the internet works around the world.

Agree with everything paulgl said in his posts. His "Nofollow is ridiculous" is a little harsh, but Paul calls 'em like he sees them. ;-)

You didn't claim to be an SEO authority, so it's understandable that there might be some confusion regarding "nofollow." That's added to links by a website owner for links that aren't trusted - such as links site commentors add. The website owner didn't add this link, so he has no way of knowing if the link is a good one or spam. Additionally a website should add nofollow to links on ads (like a banner ad on the site) - that tells Google that the link isn't an editorial link - a link the website owner included as a benefit to visitors (it's a "paid for" link to the advertiser's website). You're the website owner (or working for them) - so obviously links you add to "sister" sites of the business are very trusted - no reason to nofollow them.
