Backlinking for a Weight Loss Website

ok - I have about 50,000 followers on Twitter but they are more politically minded. I am building another Twitter account that are more in tuned with weight loss (which has 3,500 followers). The weight loss website I'm building is averaging about 1,500 to 2,000 words per article. Onsite SEO is pretty good.

However, I don't know where to link from. I used to link from forums and blogs - but Google frowns on that anymore. In your opinion, where should I be linking from. My niche is basically high protein low carbs and my writings are partly about my life where I lost 40 pounds.

So where should I be backlinking from?

    Consider social media marketing. Create FB page and post any updates there. Invite your friends to like and follow your page. Join groups and share your view there. Create IG and share your weight loss story through pictures.

    Pay attention to Social Media Marketing according to me too! And only use your website like a landing page. Update your pages often, DO NOT SPAM! And interact with your followers/fans. For a normal weight loss blog, it's almost IMPOSSIBLE to rank EVEN in top 50 for a good keyword... Unless you build Below Tier 3-4 backlinks...

    Niche relevant backlinks will help you. Try to get more quality backlinks from the other high-quality websites which are based on your niche. Also, get more visibility of your blog by the use of your social signals.
