Hashtagging or adding hashtags is part of SEO and SMM, right? So what's your take on this? I would love to know your thoughts because I am experimenting both of my SMM and SEO skills in my own website.

Would like to read good advices from everyone

Thanks!

As all know a hashtag is used on social sites that makes easier for people to find posts or information that contains the specific hashtag. Hashtag focus only on the information we really want. Because today, in the world of social media there is overload of information. Using hashtag we can filter it out.

Using hashtags on the target keyword, especially on different social media sites is a way of organizing your content or post in the related niche in which the users or clients will easily find your brand or service.

In order for a hashtag to be able to be utilized from a commercial perspective, one need that specific hashtag to trend. Just using widely used hashtags may work, but I am doubtful that people searching for these types of KW are on the lookout for corporate bullshit.

So, how does one get their specific hashtag to trend? What does it take in order to garner the attention from the public, at the same time as mobilizing these to retweet/tag their photos/posts with that specific hashtag?

From my own perception, I've noticed that hashtags that in some way/form/shape asks the users to interact in order to influence a decision seem to trend a lot. Somebody agree?
