An Interesting Keyword Research Question

I know many ways to do keyword research, but today I figured out that I still don't know everything about it, so here is my question:

How can I scrape (find) all the searched keywords using a "sentence template"...

Let's assume that I found a nice "sentence template" like this: "what do x eat"

How do I find all the things that X can be that people actually search for?

If the X was at the end of the sentence, I would use Scrapebox, but what if the "variable" is in the middle of the sentence? What tool would you use?

Thanks You In Advance,
Ilan

That's very easy to do, just use an asterisk for the wildcard keyword.

    Example: "what do * eat"

Cool, I learned something today, so thanks!

However I can't I use asterisk in the key KeywordPlanner tool... is there a way to scrape if faster with a tool? (didn't try ScrapeBox yet)

Scrapebox does the same searching you can do directly on Google Search. Go to Youtube and watch some of the Loopline channel videos for Scrapebox.

That's interesting... I don't use search ops much, but had a bit of a twiddle and noticed different results depending how many asterisks are added, same for you?

One * means one word is missing; 2 * means 2 words are missing, 3 * means 3 words are missing.

When you put in more than 1 * you're telling Google to look fill in more than 1 word, so you'll get different results.

how to lose * seems to mean to Google how to lose weight
how to lose ** seems to mean to Google how to lose weight fast, how to lose your gut, how to lose weight safely, how to lose x pounds.

Keyword planner has a button you click to include a specific word or words.

So, you're looking for the keyword "lose weight," for instance and want a bunch of keywords that are about losing weight pills, so you add the word pill as a must exist word, and Google will bring up things like:
    lose weight pills
    pills for losing weight
how to lose weight with pills

but it will not bring up things like:
    workout to lose weight
    best exercises for weight loss
