Forums and SE Friendly URLs

Hey all,

I'm just about to open a forum for my site - was wondering how the warrior forum produces it's search engine friendly urls? I've searched on Google for a plugin (phpBB) that'll convert the standard urls to SE friendly ones, but I found products I'd have to pay for...

I don't have any capital to spend right now. Does anyone know where there's a free plugin to change standard phpBB urls into SE friendly ones?

Many thanks,

David.

I don't know which version of phpBB this is for, and you'll need to tinker around in your .htaccess file, but here's a free solution. Just requires a bit of server bravado, but not much.
