Attracting Traffic To New Website?

Hey Guys,

My friend and I are currently in the process of creating a website which we expect to be completed in 10-12 weeks assuming all goes well and no more major changes need to be made. Neither of us have much experience in marketing, SEO or generating traffic and we are running around like headless chickens trying to learn as much as possible and establish a plan in the next few months.

I understand this is quite a broad question and there is much to learn, but I would appreciate any advice or ideas that could help us generate traffic and activity.

Thanks!

After creating your website, you must need to update your website regularly and posts something interesting to your users. If your website having a good and quality contents then the readers will like to view your website.
Create your website's social media accounts and share your site posts regularly to get more organic traffic. Also, you can submit your site to the directory submission and article submission sites.
Doing guest post for your website is also the good way to generate the organic traffic to your website.

Yes advertising on social media will allow you to gain new visitors, however the content has to be of a good enough quality in order to keep the visitors wanting going back to your site.

You have two types of traffic that you can work on. Both Free and Paid. I assume you have a marketing budget and you can start with as little as 50 bucks or even less. Of course the larger the more traffic but always start small first and makes sure things are converting for you. What I like about paid traffic is I have full control over it and how much of it I want all on demand.

You need 2 things if you want to make money online...you need a selling system in place to sell your products and services and you need traffic. Get started with a small traffic budget then simply scale up once your funnel is making you money.

All things already mentioned can work pretty well if done right. Of course ads are good but make sure you choose right way of implementing them. We don't know much about your website but you need targeted traffic if you want to sell something. Just general traffic from people that aren't interested in that topic is not very effective.

I've seen you mention VCB in several threads. Do you have a relationship with them?

I've looked at it and it seems legit but still skeptical.

Good question, i recommend them for several reasons and no, I'm not affiliated with them in anyway...

it fosters consistency - when you see other folks sharing your stuff then you feel obliged to keep to a content creation schedule...

it's game-like in it's approach - when you add a piece of content you always want to see how fast you can get to zero.. some content moves faster than others so you learn whats more viral as you play/share..

you're not alone - again when you see other ppl sharing your content you feel more like you're in a community.. this prevents what a lot of newbies experience when they create content for an empty abyss.. no one reacts, seems like no one is there and they give up...

        hope that helps,

ok. I'm gonna give it a whirl with a site/brand I've setup for my wife. The content/niche is certainly "social-friendly" so I guess we'll see how it goes.

          Thanks.

cool, please let me know how it goes, I'm really curious...

Oh yea,,, headlines are super important

            A good formula is:
"number or trigger word / adjective / keyword / promise."

Instead of: "Pest Removal Ideas That Work!"
You'd use: "4 Unique Pest Removal Ideas That Actually Work!"

Your wife should model her headlines like the ones on buzzsumo.com

just type in what is hot for your niche and stick with those type of headlines... for the most shares on VCB

Make your presence on the social media even before you launch your website. Social media accounts for your website will bring niche traffic of visitors that are most likely to interact/engage/act the way you want your visitors to act. Offer incentives on social media accounts for visiting your webpage.

You'll have to do all these for long time and you will see the impact. Organic traffic cant be generated overnight. For getting more leads you'll have to be consistent and regular.

    Hey there,

If you are creating the web site already, I would imagine that you did LOTS of research and did not just come up with something in your hear and just do it

With that in mind, you could try to reach out to others who have recommended similar content in your niche/industry.

    Well worth the time.

Many, many, many other ways of course, but better to start with one and go from there than swamp with ideas and do none.

    1. Create an awesome blog.

Note the word ‘awesome’. I am not talking about a blog you only update when you’ve got a new client or exhibition, or something new to sell.

    2. Give your best work away for free.

Just so we are clear: I’m not one of those internet hippies who tells you “information wants to be free”, so you should give away all your good work and forget about being paid.

A website can attract traffic by doing SEO for that website. SEO has two optimization techniques. They are

    1. On- Page Optimization
    • Meta keywords
    • Meta description
    • Keyword based title
    • Alt text
    • anchor text
    • keyword density
    2. Off- Page Optimization
    • Off Page Optimization
    • Content marketing
    • blog submission
    • link building

Go ahead and start answering questions that are present in quora related to your field of expertise. There you'll be able to give your website link that will in turn drive traffic to your website. You can also engage your self in guest blogging and blog commenting on other websites. Apart from these, there are social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter that will always help you in driving traffice to your website.

  • Is your website for a local business? If so, I'd give some thought to Google Adwords and Bing PPC. You can get super cheap clicks when targeting ultra specific niche's like pizza places in your location, etc. If you know your target market well, then also consider FaceBook PPC. They have extremely fine tuned targeting options that allow you to really drill down on your ideal customer. Hope that helps

First of all, you must add quality content into your site, remember that content is king. After that you should advertise on social media, learn about SEO onpage(title, meta description, heading,...) and offpage(backlinks,..)

Don't create an entire website if you dont have experience...

    ..CREATE AN OPT-IN PAGE!

Then choose an autoresponder, and give value through emails and sell products too (either affiliate or your own).

For traffic if you dont have experience in PPC od FB ADS or whatsoever choose Solo Ads.

So you can have targeted traffic and you can know how much
    you will spend BEFORE.

You first NEED to BUILD A LIST.

Than you can write articles, etc, in your website and link these articles in your
    sequence of mail

If you can do seo, outsource it.

    Sincerely i prefer Media Buying.

Share videos and Images from your blog to Reddit manually. Pay somebody to do it if you don't have the time. That has been far the best traffic source for me. Also get reviewed by review sites. Some of them are powerful both for traffic and backlinks.
