Hey all,

I posted on here a few days ago and the tips I got were phenomenal. I followed the advice of some posters and changed the permalinks of my blog to be much more keyword rich (instead of the "/?page34" type of name which is the word press standard).

I have noticed that my homepage is getting crawled and updated on Google every 24 hours or so. However, my individual post pages have not been updated in weeks.

Is this normal? Is there anything I can do about it?

I am thinking it could be a sitemap issue. Google Webmaster Tools says that 24 URLs were submitted but only 1 was indexed. Could that be an issue?

Once again...thanks for the generous tips. Hopefully one day I can post some good advice myself

    that sounds normal....
If you want to get the other pages crawled more often the best way is by getting backlinks to these pages. So your forum footer here might contain 4 different links to pages in your blog.
Also inner linking your posts will help. So your article on blue widgets might link back to your article on widgets.
You might want to start a blog on blogger.com and then have some links pointing back to pages on your main site.

    Hope this helps

Do what homecomputergames said, and I'd also suggest pinging the pages via something like pingomatic.com or pingler.com.

The home page is generally more likely to get crawled more often than your inner pages. Have you submitted a sitemap to google? Download a Wordpress plugin to make it nice and easy on yourself (I'm assuming you're using wordpress because of the link structure you mentioned).
