Seven blessings everyone!

I have an unsolved issue regarding my rankings in different search engines:

I have three websites with similar keyword as part of the domain name.

two of those websites are ranking extremely well on Google while one of them does not.

The first to are regularly in the top 10 result in the SERP while the third one doesn't rank in the top 1000...But!!!

When I checked the rankings of those three websites on Yahoo and Bing, they all got into the top 20 results no exceptions...

Does anyone has any idea what could go wrong with google? is it an algorithm issue or maybe something else?

Cheers

Your asking such a vague question you might as well be asking

"What is that pinging noise my car makes when I get to 70MPH?"

All three of those engines have different rules, just because one likes a sites doesn't mean the others will treat it the same way.

So to answer your question, yes its an algorithm issue AND it maybe something else.

  • I really would not say there is an actual issue here without knowing more.

I run over 100 websites and some overlap in niches and some sites rank great while others can't be found at all.

for the site that is not ranking I would work on writing great content and follow up with some good old SEO.

Clint is right. These search engine have their different algorithms and programs. So, you don't need to think about it. Yes but you should focus on ranking of your third website. Read Google Webmaster Guidelines of optimizing the website. Are you optimizing according to these guidelines or not?

    Hello everyone

    Thanks for your comments

Just to make thing a bit clearer- I work according to Google's webmaster guidelines, I do only white SEO, We have only original written content with great quality and we bring in more quality content every day. I did all the necessary on and off page adjustments...really it's an ongoing process of great SEO according to google...

The domain has been up and running for a few years and we were the only owners of this domain.

It is linked to some great authority websites that we own and we even have the wanted phrase in the domain name.

So now I ask again- Why does it rank so well on Yahoo and Bing and on Google it doesn't enter the first 1000 results?

    Thanks guys...

So what you're telling us is that you're building blog networks? Are they private? Google does not like it when you play with its algorithm, maybe they have sandboxed you. Do you have a message in your google webmaster tools?

Hey there, I think I might have been a bit unclear about what is it i'm having trouble with so let me get a bit more specific:

I have this domain blog.domain.com and the main domain domain.com and the Blog subdomain is not showing in the top 1000 for the brand name of the main domain it is related to.

You are comparing apples to oranges, those algo's are totally different as has already been said.

To find out why the third site is not ranking you need to analyse all three side-by-side, and check all the various elements for differences, especially links.

Are all the sites on the same server?

I agree with Clint Butler. Different search engines have different algo so don't expect to get the same results.
