    why? and it all depends

just 100 keywords will not tell you much about what your looking for

why would you want to find the most searched keyword, most times you don't have a chance in ranking that keyword in Google

it depends on your competition and intent on how your going to use that keyword or keyword phrases

if you plan on using keyword planner to determine your searches so does all the rest of the world

I highly would not use keyword planner tells you nothing you really need to know

Keyword planner and long tail pro will give you the search volume. Long tail pro will give the the difficulty/competition and recommend other key words as well.

i have used moz but i do not know how to read the data. which is the most important factor.

It shows me that: Min Volume - Max Volume - Difficulty - Opportunity - Potential

      Kind regards
moz is a better place to start with than keyword planner

get the moz tool bar and start visiting the Serps for each one of your keywords and look at the DA values

If the majority of sites ranking on page one are less than a DA of 60, you might have a chance for ranking on page one, given you do this right

Anything over that generally is associated with a big Brand

if you use keyword planner without investigating the Serps your doomed along with every person waving a wand across the magic search numbers to determine if you have a snowballs chance ranking in the hot weather

Best advice look at the Serps directly with all the tools available

First of all, how did you make the keywords or get them from?

Google Keyword Planner is virtually all the keyword tool you need if you've got the skills.

You may also want to look at the trend of each of the keywords...

i used keywordtool.io, Google Keyword Tool, and Google Suggest.

    Now i have ~ 5000 keywords total.

    Each niche ~ 100.

I want to select the most searched 5 ones and let write an article. My best competitor has DA42.

Google Keyword tool and MOZ gives me totally different results.

Always keep in mind that we don't need a lot of keywords we only need few of them in which the most related to the users query.

Finally, you will need to evaluate how competitive each keyword phrase is—in other words, available the comparative difficulty of ranking for each niche keyword. Use a Keyword Research Tool to Find Niche Keywords. Niche keywords are the extremely specific long-tail keywords that pertain to a narrow industry vertical.

      awesome observation and your correct

this is why anyone who recommends keyword planner other than a keyword generator does not know what they are talking about and only being a parrot

in fact I would bet they are struggling trying to get to page one using keyword planner metrics

these days it's all about if you can rank on page one and you can only know that by looking who is on page one, use one of the many tools out there to understand what kind of authority resides on page one and make your decisions based on that

again good observation, way too many lemmings making recommendations that haven't done any testing

this forum has way too many people just repeating what use to work years ago (2009) because if keyword planner is so good how do you deal with all the competition that do the same

      good luck

At the first start, I think you should use GG keyword planner, it's the most basic tool you need to try, then use Moz and keyword dot io.

There are various tools available for keyword research like WordStream, Fresh Key etc.

Google's keyword planner is the best among them as it is a product of Google itself.

If 'the most searched keyword from this list' is what you're trying to uncover, then Long Tail Pro would give you what you need.

Selecting the right keyword list for your campaign can help you show your ads to the right customers. Your keywords should match the terms your potential customers would use to find your products or services. Learn more about how to add, edit, and remove keywords.

This article explains some basic ways you can start building a good keyword list.

Select general keywords to reach more people:
Select more general keywords if you'd prefer to reach as many people as possible. Keep in mind that you might find it difficult to reach potential customers when adding very general keywords because your ad could appear for searches that aren't always related to your business. Also, more general keywords can be more competitive and may require higher bid amounts.

Test general keywords, and then decide which ones give you better results. No matter how general your keywords are, they should always be relevant to your ads and website. However, you should avoid using duplicate keywords in your account because Google shows only one ad per advertiser on a particular keyword.
