Same keywords and title issue and doubts

I was wonder let say

my post title is Exercise routine

and happen many sites also have this title and keywords.

How google will allocate all those complex SEO , etc stuff whereby people search exercise routine , your page will be the first instead other sites using the same title and keywords

is it the next consideration how google put your site to first page despite others also have the same title and keywords is from number of backlinks this post have?

sorry guys hope you can understand what I mean here.

    This hole system called SEO bro . Yes If you have high quality content for this keyword "Exercise routine " on your website and you have high quality backlinks behind your content then other website already have then you will be on top on google search result for your desired keyword

    There are many different moving parts you are dealing with in SEO.

    You touched upon a few points and that is a little of on page SEO which is a ranking factor and backlinks which again is a ranking factor but there are dozens of considerations in just those to topics.

    In the end Google want's to rank the content the end user wants for that search result. I would prioritize having great content first.

    The other two posters are right. The one thing that is missing from their answers is user experience. Google wants to show the results that users like the best. The only way they know that is by the click through rate (which is the exact same thing they use to rank AdWords ads, albeit combined with the bid amount). It's not just getting keywords in a title tag that you need to concentrate on. You also have to have a compelling enough title tag and meta description that make people want to click on your organic listing more than others. So, it's keywords, quality content, quality backlinks and click through rate.

    There's basically two things that can happen.

    If there isn't SERP competition you can get away with on-page SEO and/or keyword anchor-text internal links from very similar pages.

    If there is SERP competition then you do the same as above (on-page SEO) + add followed authority backlinks from other domains. If your page and competition pages are both optimized for the same keyword it usually comes down to whichever page has the stronger followed link profile.

    That's the core for ranking pages, everything else is either optional (ex: schema) or just inexperienced hype from folks reading blogs instead of doing their own SEO testing.
