Hi
I have set up a new site
It is live but I haven't submitted to google yet dont know if its been indexed yet

The site is a test and a learning project for me when it comes to SEO
I have been running the site through online SEO tools to check for errors all seems to be OK except for redirects basically the difference between mydomain.com and www,mydomain.com

One tool told me to fix IP Canonicalization by writing the following to my httacces file

RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^XXX\.XXX\.XXX\.XXX
RewriteRule (.*) http://www.yourdomain.com/$1 [R=301,L]

while another tool said my page cant be read by google
I have All in One SEO installed and its a word press site

What is the best practice for dealing with this in relation to google and SEO and what should I do not to get a penalty

Hi espresso this depends on your hosting company I think in your redirect .htaccess a rewrite base/ is missing. But best thing to get this info is to ask your hosting company where you host your domain.
