Adding new links from old Web2.0 blogs

Hi,

I have a ton of web2.0 blogs with really good content but I have abandoned the website they were pointing at. I haven't touched them in years but they are still live. Can I add new content to these blogs and point them at another website? Should I remove the broken link from the abandoned website? I want to use them for link diversity. Do I need to add new content or can I just change the links?

Thanks in advance

Fresh content is always welcomed by Google.

Whether you can use the old content depends very much on the ranking of these old posts. If you have very good ranking, just change the link and use the new website link. But if this old web2.0 Post have no rankings at all, FORGET it. Write new post if you wish for google to ever rank these posts!

I've got maybe 50 web2.0s with about 10 unique really well written articles on each one, that are still active but pointing at a money site I've dropped. I haven't updated them in years, should I just let these die and all the content go with it or can I add new content to them and link to a new website?

Don't let them die - that would be a waste.

"Fresh content is to be posted. And try to fix broken links. If your ranking is good then simply point them to

Erase the dropped domain link and add new content with the new link, take benefit of the linkjuice already built up on those web 2.0s
