Hello, I am wondering how my website could rank better for certain keywords such as "Minecraft Servers" and "Minecraft Server List"? My domain is http://MC-Servers.com

I do use Google search console and analytics as well. I am ranking well for the keyword "mc servers" which is probably because its in my domain but I want to rank better for other keywords. How can I build good back links so my domain shows up on the first page for those keywords I said above?

Thanks,
Austin

    Try some of these:

    - Focus on long-tail keywords. They are usually easier to rank for and make interesting articles. As an example, these are often question-based. 'How to...'

    - Where is your content on your website? I would include a link in your menu to a blog page.

    - A very simple technique is to search for the term you wish to rank for and check out the competition. How can you provide for relevant content for this keyword? How can the articles that are already ranking be improved? Supercharge your blog post to make it better!

    - Quality links - Can you find guest posters who will write on your niche and link back to their website?

    - Get involved with communities. Twitter and Facebook probably have plenty of opportunities for you to engage with in terms of Minecraft. Think pages, groups and lists. Enable your blog posts to be shared and share them on your own account. Remember to engage with the communities. Add a live feed perhaps in the sidebar of your blog for the hashtag minecraft on Twitter.

You have just targeted "Minecraft Servers" only in Title of the page. I cannot see any content on your site which has some content where keywords can be targeted. So, there is no content, no keywords on the page, that's why you are not ranking on your desired keywords.

I suggest you to add some content on your website and target your desired keywords in the content.

Once you add the content on your website, then try to acquire some quality links using White-Hat techniques.

If you need better ranking, just analyze your website, which keywords are the most preferred to promote the optimal amount of use. At the beginning try 4-5 words in word length. Prepare your content, don't spam your pages with those keywords. Then order 100 reviews for example at specialized sites. And you will definitely get the result. Here you should start from something, you can not know what results you will get exactly. Just do it, invest money to your website

Enter you keyword in google SERP. See who ranks before you. All those are your competitor. Now buy a paid tool to generate their baclinks and follow them.

Where would I get this paid tool to generate their backlinks? And also wouldn't this be against Google's terms? I don't want my domain to get blacklisted from google.

The first step is to optimize your website (on page) for your targeted keywords. Then, once your site is properly optimized, start building backlinks that are dofollow, on high authority domains, contextual, and relevant to your niche/keywords. Also, you can run your competitors' sites through a backlink checker tool, and then try to place your backlinks on the same sites that they have theirs.

If you want to rank better for other keywords, then you should focus your efforts on uncovering long tail keywords around these target keywords. They are generally less competitive and easier to rank for.

Once you uncover these long tail keywords, the next step is to optimize your webpage for these targeted keywords and start building backlinks on high authority domains in your niche to your webpage.

A simple way to uncover these high authority domains in your niche is to conduct a comprehensive competititor analysis to uncover the backlink profiles of each of the sites in the top 10 search results for the keywords you're trying to rank and get same backlinks to your own webpage.

Some tools that can be used to analyze your competitors backlink profiles are Ahrefs, Majestic SEO or Opensite Explorer.

If you're going to bother tracking your keyword rankings in search engines, such as Google, Bing or Yahoo, make sure you're focusing on the right keywords for your website. Too often, people short-change keyword research (assuming they know what keywords their audience is using) or rely too heavily on free, third-party keyword suggestion tools.

The problem with these third-party tools? They're not personalized. They return the same general, popular keywords to everyone, so you have no competitive edge, and no way of knowing how truly relevant they are to your business.

They're less competitive: Fewer people are trying to rank for long-tail keyword phrases, so your site has a better chance of achieving high rankings.
They're more targeted: Longer keywords show more intent—they reveal more about what the searcher is looking for, so you can better serve them with a specific offering or specific Web content.

Got your sights on a keyword? Want to see your website on the elusive first page of Google for a given search term? Prepare yourself: Unless you're Wikipedia or The New York Times, it won't be easy. But it's not impossible, either. Seriously - we do it all the time.Ranking for a keyword in organic search is a repeatable process. You won't get the results you want 100% of the time, especially if you're a new website trying to rank for a popular keyword, but if you take content marketing and SEO seriously, you can start to make things happen. Things like rankings, and traffic, and sales

Its easy actually. Sprinkle the keywords across your page and articles. Once done, build some backlinks to your site with those keywords as anchor texts. That should be all.

You need to create an article in another page (let's say page A). For that article, you need to put your main keyword as hyperlink to your homepage. Then you optimize the page A correctly. Once Google finds the backlink on the page A to your homepage, the homepage will gradually rank up.

Don't ever try to optimize your homepage directly because it's so dangerous, moreover it's a new site.

Generally, if you want to rank for a certain keyword, your website must already be strong with a number of followers. In addition, the keyword must be validated thoroughly, it doesn't only need to be a long tail keyword, but with also a good amount of search volume, but not too many competitors.

You need to add some written content to that website. You are going to have a tough time ranking with a layout like that because there is no content. Create some content about minecraft and put it on the homepage. Add some keywords that get searched in Google related to minecraft. After you choose your keywords, you will need to start building backlinks for those terms. Eventually, you will be able to start ranking higher for minecraft related keywords in Google.

Firstly, the keywords which you are targeting that must be in the title tag of your website. Other than that, the keywords which are secondary or location specific must be used in the website content, so that it can get crawled by Google & easily ranked in the search engines without any difficulty. A proper marketing on certain keywords would be helpful to rank a website & its keywords well in the search engines.

    1. Find your competitors for the keyword.
    2. Do some research what they are doing. What are they main focusing?
3.Implement those strategies for your keyword.

  • Make sure that your website is optimized for your targeted keywords first. Then build backlinks on sites that have a high DA (domain authority), pages that have a high PA (page authority). The backlinks should be contextual and dofollow.

When I look at keywords, one of the things I look at in terms of what to target and what not to, would be INTENT. As much as there is INTENT in "Minecrafter servers" ( I personally would not put the "S" in there to search that and the search term minus the S is outa your league right now ) there is far more intent in "Minecraft mini game servers" or "Minecraft hunger games servers"

I good rule of thumb to play by... if you ask the question "what kind of ______" in your case what kind of "Mindcraft Server" would someone look for, and your answer isn't all that refined, you need to consider refining the objective keyword to better match user intent. You are right now just providing a list of servers.

To be absolutely honest with you.. I would redo the whole site probably to include the method you accept sites to list, and I would have a Minecraft Directory, that breaks these servers into Categories. A single server I am guessing could be cross referenced across many categories.

I would include TEXT under each servers banner (gives you something to actually apply SEO to. ) and under each category a brief description whatever to assist in your SEO efforts. You have a damn impressive list going there... its just not displayed properly.

Imagine a store full of shoes.. you want s specific pair of Yezzi's in a size 8.. there is no order what so ever in the store... and you have to spend your time going box to box to box aisle after aisle, looking for the right shoe in the right size.... I know I would walk out. I think the same applies to your site.. tons of servers to choose from.. justno idea what each one is.
