Hi friends.. need a little help here.

i have come to understand that by concentrating on backlinking with High PR site, it will increase my ranking as well. Yes, i did achieve that. infact for the last 1 month, i have experienced an increase upto 110% (based on Alexa site info) - All thanks to Angela V Edwards packet.

What i'm curiuos is, all the competitor site that appear on the first page of Google for my very competitive keywords are rank at these numbers

Site Linked in - Alexa Traffic Rank - Google first page

Site A about 25 - rank 555,0++ - # 1st

Site B about 42 - rank 489,6++ - # 2nd place

Site C about 496 - rank 377,39+ - # 3rd place

Site D *Only 3 - *19,352,9++ - # 7 th place

(it has very weird domain, after i checked the details, the site is infest with keyword that i was optimising on.)
something like this ...

http:// sitename.com/www/brandname/detail-brand-name.html

MY SITE
However, My site is still very far ahead -- only to rank 5,000,00+. (yes millions stills) -I'm actually just recently seriously started SEO (Backlinking and article marketing)

My Site - linkin -0- traffic rank 5,000,001 - not in the first page. (still building)

I did not have any site linking in, although i have build several backlink based on Angela packets and social bookmark severals.

My Question .

can any warrior expert here explain the situation above. And based on your experience + google dance/algorithm, how many backlink is needed to be in that first page, with about 600,000,000 search result. ( i know its to much for somebody who is only about to start backlining). i should focus on 6,000 below. But this is warrior forum..perhaps i can learn from fellow warriors perspective and experience.

Many Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Diver's

    I would be a little concerned with these numbers:

    Site A about 25 - rank 555,0++ - # 1st
    Site B about 42 - rank 489,6++ - # 2nd place
    Site C about 496 - rank 377,39+ - # 3rd place
    Site D *Only 3 - *19,352,9++ - # 7 th place

    At first glance it looks like the traffic for these keywords may not be as good as first thought.

    There are other factors that can help you rank just besides backlinks.
    Many people outrank sites in the same niche but have many fewer backlinks.
    Onsite SEO, good coding standards, domain age, etc... all play a part.

      homecomputergames, thank you for your reply.. yeah, that gets me buzzing and a bit 'blank' for a while... this is a very competitive keyword with more than 600,000,000 search result. currently, with backlinking i was able to upgrade my site upto 130% in this month, but i'm still far behind, not even in page #50 of the search result. it seems like an impossible task to backlink.

      i wonder...and trying to configure the answer for this first page domination.

      Anyway, Since reading X-Factor post... im focusing on providing more to product specific content. It works with smaller price item but with very minimum profit. currently im writing and plugging in more keyword and low competition articles.

      i'll still continue with Angela's backlink..because of the changes ive experienced..but it seems like a huge task ahead if i still focused on the same keyword. - what do you think warriors..? Im done with the first 30 backlink, im moving on to the next 30 backlink.

      maybe you could give a tips or link to these Onsite SEO, good coding standards, domain age, etc that youve mentioned my friend.

      THANKS A MILLION

        One way you can beat everyone is to consistently build backlinks...

        and i mean consistently.

        Only then you will remain on top of google all the time...

        All the best!

    Hi Divers,

    Dont get so focused on baclinks because there are other factors involved. Also Alexa data is flawed and I certainly wouldn't rely on that.

    i have question about factor that will influence SEO factor:

    1) subdomain word or webpage url word will more influence rank
    for example: lossweightfass.weebly.com or squidoo.com/lossweightfass

    2) if i have 3 article on enzine or blogspot dominate google #1,2,3 spot, can i link them to same landing page or url such as squidoo.com/lossweightfass,
    will this factor will lower SERP ?

    Constantly building links for your website will definitely help get your websites ranking. But you should be strict in building links and do it everyday if possible to produce good results.
