    Social bookmarking WILL NOT help your website rank better. They stopped working more than 4 years ago. Yet, people still are wasting their time getting social bookmarks, comment links and forum profile links because they are easy to get and place, yourself.

    If it is easy to get, it is worth next to nothing. The only links that matter now are ones that are editorially placed by someone other than yourself.
