So just little advice sharing here for newbies.. here's a fact, nobody cares about your new site, for instance if you created a hacking site nobody will care.. so what do people care about, people care about what's being posted in there.

Here's an example, go try it yourself, add something like this in your signature "Best {Your site name}! Check it out for free softwares"...

Result will be very few people visiting it, now change it to something like "Download {Software name} now", traffic will raise instantly, again, people don't give 2 shit about your brand if you're a new person, just site name and what the site is about is not enough. People care about the juice, real shit! That's all!

Just thought I'd share it with newbies here

Nobody cares about what you have. They care about what they can get.

Easy fella's. There is no reason to be so blunt.

Yes all customer's only care about one thing. What's it going to do for them.

That's why features tell, but benefits sell.

What's the difference between features and benefits?

If your ad copy talks about the product it's a feature.

If your ad copy talks about the prospect it's a benefit.

That's the classic line, which is definitely true. Another way of looking at it is that people buy solutions to problems. Some are real problems (garbage disposal is broken or I'm hungry), some are perceived problems (people don't like me because my teeth aren't white enough or I'm too fat), some are ego problems (I need a cool sports car or a super expensive watch) and some are barely problems at all (I'm bored and need a new video game or I'll try this brand of beer because it might be better than the one I drink now). Figure out what problem people are trying to solve, and you can create copy that targets the problem/solution.

The original poster is correct; though, nobody cares about your website. They care about whether or not you can solve their problems.

  • People need a reason to take action, even if that action is as simple as clicking on a link. If they can't clearly identify why they should bother paying attention in a couple of seconds, they will move on. We all do this. It's how we survive in a world saturated with too much information.
