In my opinion the most important one that has escaped everyone is Vince's change all the rest take a back seat to this change

notice this is not an update but behaves as such

I know from looking at the SERPs daily this comes first and then what ever real estate is left over the other updates kick in

I'm wondering how this Mobile update is special?
So how this Google warning to site users in advance related to Mobile update?
Kindly explain in details to clarify this confusing post.

As Sparrow noted, Vince was the biggest change that made it harder for small websites to compete. It's been part of the algorithm since 2009, so it is nothing new. Independent websites just need to do a better job of going after medium and long tail queries that the :big boys" have not optimized around.

Totally disagree about Vince being important.

If I search for iphone I want apple.com, not some nonsense website page with affiliate links. That has nothing to do with the size of a site, it's about delivering what search traffic expects.

Also, followed link authority plays a major role. Very few sites will compete with apple.com link profile for the keyword iphone (example). The link profile + relevancy is Apple's authority.

I've never heard about this RankBrain Algorithms, so I did some research.

"RankBrain is a machine learning artificial intelligence system, the use of which by Google was confirmed on 26 October 2015. It helps Google to process search results and provide more relevant search results for users."

And here is the interesting bit:

"If RankBrain sees a word or phrase it isn't familiar with, the machine can make a guess as to what words or phrases might have a similar meaning and filter the result accordingly, making it more effective at handling never-before-seen search queries."

    Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RankBrain

It also mentions that it uses over 200 ranking factors for the ranking algorithm. How crazy is that!

I don't think new updates is the same as new algorithms.

It's true that Google is changing constantly, but SEO experts as well.

State of the art SEO experts are always one step ahead of Google.

Really nothing major has ever changed in the history of Google.

It's still followed links + plain text ranking pages in 2016 just like it did 10 years ago.

Google has targeted multiple link schemes over the years but that doesn't change core ranking factors. Those only changed the source of the followed links.

Everything else that Google has tweaked over the years is all minor/optional stuff, example, Hummingbird, Schema, etc..., pages can still be ranked without these options.
