Hello

I am trying to learn SEO and I want to start by creating content by targeting keywords which have low monthly research in order to be able to rank quickly in the first page of Google.
The problem is as follow :
I did a research in google planner for long tail keyword and i barely found a that the monthly research for the keyword is about 50 but when I went to check this keyword in google search i found that there are millions of result ( some big sites are on the top results , such as : amazon, etsy,tripadvisor....) and that NONE of them has the EXACT much keyword in the title or the domain or the description .
What do you advise me to do ?

Do you have any methods that might allow me to create article about keywords of low monthly research

Thanks a lot

Well, from GKP, you will only get the search volume. You then need to gauge the SEO competition by checking the number of links, PA, DA and on-page SEO to determine whether the keyword will be easy to rank or not.

GKP monthly searches are mostly correct. Like Ben K points out very correctly, just because it has low searches doesnt mean it has low competition. Find out who are your competitors and the types of links they are getting.

The number of competitors is not important at all. What does matter is how strong the competitors are that are on page one. If every single site on page one is a big brand name, it might be difficult to rank for a phrase. If there are one, two or more smaller niche websites, there is a better chance of ranking.

We have our own tool - Niche Ninja - that lets us know very quickly how competitive any search phrase is. Our free course also tells you how you can figure it out on your own without a tool.

It's all about who is on page one, the biggest mistake anyone who does keyword research is to look at searches per month regardless on who is on page one

look at page one forget how many searches is in GKP

none of this means anything if you can't get on page one

instead in today's search results you should be looking at groups of keywords that you can get on page one

when I create any article I look for groups of keywords I have a chance to rank page one for each article

I have ranked many times for over 20 keywords from one article, regardless of the search counts in GKP the articles always get traffic

get enough articles to page one the traffic comes

not every article is a home run but getting to page one helps you get the traffic

If you ask me you are doing perfect. Picking a keyword with low searches is a best method to rank quickly over SERPS since not many users are behind it but you should also look for competition of that keyword. Use Kwfinder or keyword revealer to get an idea about how competitive that KW is.

Also dont think that if a keyword has 50 searches per month over GKP that means you will get that only. I actually targeted a keyword that has only 110 searches a month and i acquired #1 spot receiving more than 500 visits per day.
