No Matter What, I can't get traffic from google.

by 17 replies
Hello Fellas,

I have a blog and I write a lot of helpful articles , legit and original and spend a lot of time.

When I publish , it does get indexed and shows up in google but not in the first 3 pages even though my title matches the search like 99% yet it never comes anywhere near to first 5 pages even ... it's Frustrating.

Can I get some help please?

Thanks

Writing good content is just not enough. You need lots of links pointing to it without spamming it.

You should make some quality links to your articles and also share it in social media sites.

    Hi Mate,

There are lots of issues that can prevent your articles to rank.
Do you have some technical issue? maybe your site is set to "no index"?
Is your site built correctly to the Google standard( or as close as possible)?
Did you ever use a bad SEO company that got your site penalized?
Maybe you bought a domain that was penalized before?

There is allot of research that can be done and check why are you not ranking.
You need to post your site so it will be easier to help you mate.

Are you doing any other on page optimization besides the title? If your site has existed for a while and you write a post targeting a keyword with low competition, you shouldn't have any trouble getting in the top 3 spots without any off page linking or anything, as long as you use proper keyword density. If you're targeting keywords with higher competition, then it's going to take a lot more work, especially if you're trying to knock people out who have been there for a while, if it's even possible at all. There are also a lot of other factors Google considers like how your site is organized, does it provide a good user experience, does it load quickly, etc. Are you making it easy for Google to crawl your site by providing an xml sitemap? Are you registered with Google Webmaster Tools? They will give you specific feedback about what you can change to make your site better.

As solidwealthsystems said, there is a whole lot more to on-page optimization than just having keywords in your title tag. There are plenty of resources out there that discuss on page optimization. We have a massive article coming out soon that will discuss it in great detail but in the meantime, Moz has an article about it here and Backlinko has one here.

He is also right that on-page SEO, alone, can get a page to rank if it is not terribly competitive. In fact, a truly stellar, well optimized page can rank for moderately competitive phrases if you wait enough time and have a good enough CTR.

Getting great, relevant backlinks to go along with your stellar, optimized page is the fastest way, though.

You obviously don't know how to size up SERP competition.

Just because you create webpages means nothing for SEO. Original content means nothing for SEO.

Submit your site-map to Google Webmaster tools.
    And request for a Crawl.

Then also check your "robot.txt" file
Make sure the permissions are set properly.

There is a lot go into SEO, writing a good content alone will take you no where, you need to do keyword research, on page seo optimization, and have a good strategy for off page backlinking.

First check if the keyword that you are writing the article around receives any traffic or not and if yes how competitive it is.
According to that plan your SEO strategy as only good article and Onpage seo is not enough now a days,

If you look at statistics you will find that tons of pages are dropped daily but no everything can be ranked. Build some link, get social share and they see if you get some or not.

Your site needs to have more trust rank to show higher in search engines. You will need to get some quality backlinks and build up your domain authority. Quality content is very important for ranking, but you also need to get quality backlinks as well. If you combine this process together, your site will gain authority in search engines, and you will rank higher for keywords related to your website.
