Backlinks to an article or a website?

I've been using Angela and PJ's backlinks now for a month or so and I'm seeing some success, but one thing has got me a little puzzled.

I use the sites from Angela and PJ to backlink to my website for my chosen keyword. However, I notice that Angela obviously uses the sites she provides to backlink to her GoArticles article, which then in turn links to her website.

I was wondering why the extra link in the chain? Is it easier to get an article ranked through backlinking than the website itself? I've been doing article marketing as well as a source of traffic and backlinks for my website, but should I be using Angela and PJ's backlinks to link to my article(s) or straight to my website?

Angela, PJ, anyone...any thoughts?

Cheers

You should probably be doing both. Depending on your keyword phrase, you can rank your website and some of your articles on page 1.

Many articles will rank faster than your site because you are basically adding a new page (your article) to an established and aged site.

i left angela's backlinks long time ago.

It is effective although very tedious. i've found other better methods to get first in google.

    Much more effective to me.

    Backlinks to both.
p.s. I outsourced Angela's backlinks, and realised that many of the pages on which the backlinks were placed were not even indexed. So make sure you social bookmark those pages as well so the search engines 'see' the link!

      Hi,

As, it is good to go for social bookmarking but also, it can be done through different processes also, like blog commenting by targeting the keywords with that Url only.

This also, makes your site to get indexed.

      Thanks!!
