Google Penguin 4.0 , A gift or a curse ?

So it been 4 days since Google officially announced, Penguin 4.0 is here live and kicking.

My first impression was a new update is here hmmm.

Over the last couple of days all of my client sites has been getting a boost in ranking, and it just hit me, this update may actually be a gift , yes the update may sounded bad at first, but since my practice are within guidelines, this update gotta be to my benefit and every white hat SEO provider out there.

Considering the amount of Grey hat SEO services out there, I got the impression this going to hit many businesses hard ( not as bad maybe since Google start partial punishment for pages instead of domains, but still it gotta hurt ).

How did the update affect you or your client so far ? are you website getting a boost out of the update ? getting hammered ?

I would recommend anyone who start getting hammered to look closely into their SEO practices

    Haven't seen or heard of a single site getting penalized. We monitor several sites that we know have horrible backlink profiles. So far, their rankings have not budged an inch. Hopefully, it just takes awhile for them to crawl every site. Otherwise, this might be the biggest "ho-hum" update to Penguin ever.

    dave i actually start seeing people crying out loud being hit by Penguin 4.0, Google haven't been very clear on is it completely up or partially, but it seems that it is taking them to get there

    Google Penguin Update 4.0 is not a gift nor a curse but a real time filter within the SERP. Websites that are ranking from low quality sites will be filtered while other sites that has an ongoing changes in their links in which removal of unwanted links will be benefited by improving their rankings.
