Yes, it still is effective. You just have to learn from the data you gather from social media. Know your audience, know your data and know what you want to get out of your social media. You then measure its effectiveness from there.

yes posting social will still get you customers. But if you just post once you are not going to get anything from it. It takes time to build up followers that are active and responding to your post.

  • Both question work in different accordance. For Q1, if you're not active with regular posting content and engaging with peoples. Might be haven't strong userbase. For Q2, Still social media effective, if you shared eye catching content on the social media which will help you to grow your profile as well as your business.

yes social media is still very effective and will probably be for a while. Perhaps try paid advertising to get more visitors. another way to increase is to make sure your content is engaging, funny and an extension of you.

    Hey Sato,
Fairly broad question - but Social Media is definitely still an effective tool. I have found a lot of success utilising instagram and facebook ads. If you like, DM me, happy to have a look over your pages and give you some feedback :-)

Social media plays a good role in bringing returning visits. If you are not able to drive traffic from it then definitely you are not promoting over correct platform.

You should spend time on building your followers and please them just by showing your link wont bring you much visits you must present catchy images and videos that are related to your niches so that followers can trust on you.

Yes social media is still an effective way to get traffic but when we promote our business through social media we have to remember some points:

Find relevant communities in your niche and join. Whether they are on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Pinterest wherever else they might be join. Most importantly, participate. Be useful and helpful.

If you have a Facebook business page then make it more attractive and if you give any offer or discount on special occasion, mention on it. You should target niche audience like if your site is related to real estate then you have to find people who are interested in real estate like you can check people who like real estate property or home. Send them a friend request and interact with them on daily basis by messaging and chat. Hashtags were not very effective when Facebook first started, but in the last couple of years hashtags have been an effective source of traffic and exposure. Using 1-2 hashtags per post can get you an average of 593 interactions per post.

In Twitter: Follow ALL the relevant people in your niche, re-tweet the content they post which is important for your audience. Use different titles and descriptions to see which works best to increase social media traffic - and if you find something is working really well, you should consider your Website blogs and articles headlines in that manner.

If I've learnt anything over the past few months it's just how valuable media social media is, and in my opinion it's only becoming more so and it's now more important than ever to get a handle on it. If you're not getting much reach and engagement you'd be wise to hook up with a social media manager who can do it for you because social media really is your best opportunity to build your brand, create a great reputation, engage with your future and existing clients and even make sales.
If you're doing it properly and creating posts that are informative and which speak to your audience, you'll have no problems over time in building a genuine audience. The problem is when people try to take shortcuts and end up hitting their followers with loads of spam which jut annoys them and causes them to unfollow.
There are a few suggestions I can make if you've been posting for 10 years and not getting a response, especially for Facebook. I hope you get some use out of this:

    1) Create posts that relate to your industry and your audience.
    2) Use images in your posts
    3) Make offers to your audience.
    4) Use competitions to get people excited about your product
    5) Use different posts for different social media avenues rather than re-hashing the same content.
    6) Respond to all of your followers directly.
    7) Always be present
    8) Connect with others in your niche
    9) Comment and share relevant posts (don't copy)

If all that fails, I'd definitely recommend taking a processional on board who can turn the situation around for you, there's so much value in social media these days and while growing an audience is a slow process - it's definitely one that's worth it for the success of your business.
    Good luck.
    Cheers Ads.

Depends if your looking for free or paid. I think the free methods has tapered off a bit with too many rules, memberships lost etc, however utilizing paid methods along with proper tracking and data collection will grow the right type of business in the proper niche to thrive.

Yes social media is very effective if used smartly. Post fresh content daily in order to keep the page updated. Apart from that use images, GIFs and videos to attract audiences because research tells that human brains are more inclined towards animated material as compared to text based stuff.
