Do Our Client Website Look Like a PBN?

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone might be able to shed some light on this. I work for an agency now and simply cannot find a definitive answer on this question. With all of our client websites linking back to our main website, does this begin to look like a PBN to Google?

We have hundreds of backlinks coming from clients that essentially sit on the same server and have roughly the same ip addresses - with only a few variations in the last 2 numbers. I'm worried that this looks like unnatural link building to Google. Does anybody have any insight on this?

Doesn't matter, same setup for most web designers. Still indexed and ranking pages, both local and global.

    Hi attawnnc,

IP addresses have absolutely nothing to do with unnatural link building as Google defines it. You have no reason to be concerned about that.

By the way Google has no issues with a PBN, as long as you are not selling links or doing something that is bad for users just to manipulate Search Rankings that aren't deserved.

If they are all anchor text rich then it MIGHT look like a poorly built PBN (no one can really know till they see it). If its just company name/ developed by /designed by kind of links not a big issue.

Still besides SEO - why put all or most of your clients on the same box? That one server has issues and most of your clients are out of service
