What SEO I should do for my niche site?

Hi warriors

I've lately started my own blog covering topics like opinions, lifestyle and fashion. Posts are original written by me, sometimes I re-blog directly from the other sites or have content translated into my mother language with sources quoted. After hitting Publish button I'd go out there to do off-page SEO for my posts on web 2.0, relevant forums and social networks. Is there anything Im missing here to make my site rank good? Need all of your advice. Thanks.

Hey, I'm quite a newbie like yourself but you have come to the right place to get some quality tips from people who really know their stuff.
From what I can see you are ticking all of the boxes in the off page stakes for sure. Have you looked at beefing up your on-page SEO elements. There area few elements that I've recently started to focus on since I started and they have really helped to boost my sites rankings.
Firstly, I'd make sure that you have a keyword in the title tag, another keyword in the META description tag and ANOTHER keywords in the H1 tag.
Each of these keywords can be the same if you like, but it might help to use different ones so that you can catch a wider range of search terms, and therefore a higher number of visitors. Having long, information rich, quality content is also a big factor.
As a blogger I'm sure this will be your priority and you wont need any reminding to create your content in such a way but it it important to remember that google favors websites that provide users with quality content.
The way that google measures this is by measuring how long someone spends on your website. The longer they spend on your page, the better google deems the content on your website to be, and as such, will rank you higher for it.
Avoid having duplicate content across multiple pages on your website, google will punish you for this. Using outbound links to authoritative sources on the subjects that you write will also bode well for your ranking. So that's everything that I know on the subject.
There is a lot more worth knowing I'm sure but hopefully that is enough to get you started. Best of luck with it.

have you checked your site or registerd your site with alexa.com

also search engines love having content that you have made yourself in wikipedia and youtube linking back to your site plus when you publish origional articles, ensure you also submit it to places such as http://www.articlecity.com and http://ezinearticles.com

but if you don't narrow down and define your niche you maybe advertising the wrong articles.
        regards,
        steve

    Hi,

Have you optimized on-page SEO? If not yet, best here: Backlinko.com/on-page-seo/

SEO is a process, web 2.0, relevant forums and social networks are not enough. You should determine the SEO method which would you like to go along with, black or white hat SEO?

Someone says black hat SEO is not working, but they're wrong. If do the right way, it still works.

To learn about white hat SEO, you can refer to this website: Backlinko.com. And black hat SEO: Matthewwoodward.co.uk

    This my own opinion

Just started this and I've got time for this kind of learning. Once I scale it up I think outsourcing should be greate. Thanks for your suggestion.

You first need to find your market for your blog, it's always better to do a search of keywords over Google and then create those to generate more traffic seo based marketing requires a lot of key words tactics and you need to figure those out first, you can use Google. Also Optimise on page seo. Try to build a back link to your website
In future you can even venture into affiliate marketing and that will increase the traffic which you desire

On Page SEO is also important if you want to rank well in GOOGLE. You can post articles on various blogs to get back-links. There are two ways to get back-links from the blogs either through commenting or through article submission. If you want to get back-links then make sure that you comment on both do-follow and no-follow blogs. Make sure that the back-links you create, look natural.

Please know that social networks are going to do nothing to help you rank. You may get traffic but they are not used at all in Google's search algorithm. Likewise, only a very few forums or blogs have followed links, so they, too, will do nothing to help you rank for the most part.

I agree with an earlier poster who said to go check out Brian Dean's site - backlinko.com. He truly is the god of backlinks. Another poster suggested tightening up your on-page SEO. We recently posted an extremely detailed article about how to do that - How to Achieve Perfect On-Page SEO
