Register with Google Webmastertools, verify your ownership and install Google Analytics.

When you launch a new website.....the first thing you do BEFORE doing that....is figuring out what the frick you are doing afterwards.

Not true, Paul. Not at all true.

Sometimes, after I launch a website, I eat ice cream. Sometimes, I go to the movies. I never know what I'm going to be in the mood for when I'm done launching a site before I launch the site. Swear to God! Matter of fact, after I launched the last one, I played mah-jong on my laptop!

I would make sure you have it tested and send to colleagues to review it to be honest, ahead of doing any of the suggestions above.

The first thing I do is submit to search engines, add the link to signatures, add to a few directories, add to google search console, ask for website reviews.

The first thing I'd do is to let out the website link to colleagues and mentor to review it

Register it with Google and start working on seo optimising otherwise you won't get any traffic on the website. Add the website to search engines, directories, and ask people to review your website. You can also use social media like Facebook to promote your website

Create GSC account and verify your website. Also update sitemap. You can fetch the website to bing webmaster tools.

Then release a Press Release that you have launched your website.

Then do on-page and off-page works.

Use social media sites to get more traffic.

Once your site goes live, make sure that you take necessary steps that will make your site more SEO-friendly. Everything starts with structuring the right keywords and building a Google-friendly site. After all, your efforts would go down the drain if search engines cant crawl into your page.

It’s a lot of little things. That’s what web design is all about. There is a staggering number of ways to screw up.

So quality is all about details. To make sure nothing is missed, professionals use checklists. We have a ton of these checklists here at Orbit.

Here is our website launch checklist. Actually, this is a combination of several checklists related to launching websites. We’ve removed some of the internal communication items and added a few items related to marketing.

This checklist includes items from years of hard-earned experiences, mistakes and lessons learned.

We hope this will save you some of that pain. If you know someone working on a web design project, you can probably save them some grief by sharing this with them.

      Hey Sunder,

Thanks for the comment, although I did not see a link to your website launch checklist. I would love to see it.
