How to get more pages indexed by Google?

I manage a website which has got more than 1 million pages. How do i get more pages indexed by Google? Indexing is happening at a very slow pace. If I am able to increase this speed and get all pages indexed, I am done. Please help me with some tips. I have tried to cover almost all possible best practices like unique meta tags, unique content, interlinking, faster loading etc. Please guide me.

    Set priority in sitemap.
    Spread those URLS through social media and bookmarking.

    On a site I run, we've got a very similar amount to you, we've managed to quadruple the pages crawled per day by making sure the site is quick. We've gone from 4.5s to under 2s and it's made a massive difference.

    We're aiming to get most pages loading sub 1.5s and expecting to see our indexed pages climb through that alone.
