I am going to start working on a niche site but here is my plan.
- Going to find a niche that isn't too high in competition
-Get long tail pro software so I can find relevant long tail keywords. and search volume with a minimum of 300 monthly searches and a maximum of 1000.
- Of course have some LSI keywords
- Hire somebody on Iwriter to write about 5 articles. (product review) and 4 pages informational content with each article a maximum of 500 words.

Is it easier and quicker to rank for these long tail keywords?

Typically the longer the keyword phrase the less competition, but, at the same time, the longer the keyword typically has less traffic compared to shorter keywords.

With that being said, you still have to do SERP competition research because every keyword has unique competition.

my main goal with this is to promote good products in the fitness/weight loss niche. Now i know i said "Going to find a niche that isn't too high in competition" but if i do my keyword research right maybe i can get sooner results with longtail keyword that a lot of people arent using. Then i could put in an optin box on my site and collect email addresses to build my list.

Everything's proper just instead of LTP I would suggest to go with some other tool like Kwfinder or Keysearch since LTP uses google keyword planner data and its not the same now (Not talking about cloud based software)

is Kwfinder any good? and were does the data come from? I havnt really seen a lot of reviews on it. I'm just trying to find a good longtail keyword software.

it is very good tried it so many times, the only downside that I don't like about is that they are only limited to 500 searches per day which can be a problem especially for heavy keyword researchers otherwise everything is good

The plan will work, only if you implement it! It is nothing on text, apply it and you will get what you want! I ranked for a 1800/m term with one diversity package and PBN links. Pretty much seasonal, so gets a nice boost each year.

On content, I wrote it myself. Saved me the expense and really didn't take as long as I thought. I wrote 20+ reviews and around 6 blog posts to start. Not the best, but it got the site on the first page relatively quickly.
