I would start a new webmaster forum for my blog site and ranking it to top search but when i check this keyword "webmaster forum", Google is getting 2 first positions (as the picture)

I don't know if i build a new webmaster forum it is possible to defeat Google on their search engine to get top 1 on Google search?

I have seen many cases like this and waiting for a valuable answer.

Thanks
Harry

No offense but you're here asking If it's possible so no, it's not possible.

They have a double SERP listing from an established authority domain for a high traffic keyword. That's a tough keyword (webmaster forum) even for someone that's been doing SEO for years.

If you're just starting out with SEO you need to start with way weaker SERP competition.

I have to agree with Yukon, you should rethink this idea because it is impossible while your forum is quite new, even a best webmaster forum like webmastersun.com that I knew then it could not get top #1 on Google search engine for that keyword.

You should find an easier niche which has less competitive and start a new forum then you will be many opportunities to succeed.

    Good luck!

I'm not saying OP shouldn't target the niche, they just need to do better keyword research.

Even though the webmaster forum keyword has tough SERP competition doesn't mean OP can't pick up some SERP traffic from other niche related keywords.

I would also still target the keyword (webmaster forum) as If I'm trying to rank for the keyword, I just wouldn't expect to rank for the keyword. This helps pick up longtail keyword traffic.

In this case we already know dozens of webmaster forums exist, so simply piggyback off those established forum threads and optimize your own forum threads for very specific niche traffic rather than a generic root keyword (webmaster forum).

Example, do a search on Google for specific keywords/subjects:

The thread titles below are literally what the niche traffic is asking, word for word.
    • How to deal with endless bot hits on wp-login.php
    • Tuning a MySQL database for WordPress
    • Can I run both wordpress website and non-wordpress on same domain
    • How to speed up wordpress website
    • Can't edit WordPress site at all
    • Which Wordpress Plugin is Best for Sitemap
    • etc...

Build pages (forum threads) for those subjects. Track the SERPs and watch incoming traffic keyword referral ideas. Optimize longtail keywords as needed. Repeat...

Don't copy content from other domains, build pages with unique text targeting the same subject/s. A new site with no backlinks that copies already ranked pages will get buried in Supplemental SERPs (no traffic).

With that being said, all these other webmaster forums probably already have the answers to each question/subject, you just need to put it in your own words and optimize better than the existing forum threads.

To be honest, most forums suck at SEO so it shouldn't be difficult out ranking their internal forum thread pages assuming the internal forum thread page URL doesn't have a decent followed backlink profile for the exact URL of the ranked page.

      .
I got your point and it's exact thing I need to follow and do for my new site. I will not focus on ranking that tough keyword that concentrating on building quality content with longtail keywords and a few backlinks to the site to help improving rankings.
I think this needs a bit more time but I can wait and see what will happen.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step but you get there a lot faster if you start at step 950, don't you?

It would be very difficult. I would rather look for some other keywords. But your idea is definitely good.

Not a chance of beating Google.

LSI stands for "Latent Semantic Indexing" - geek-speak for related or sometimes even synonyms of the targeted keyword phrase.

I have to agree with this opinion but nothing is impossible if you have more, even very more money, that will be possible.

      Just my 0.02 cents!

  • Nothing is impossible!! If you are targeting a great niche like Google you have to work hard, build quality links and huge traffic to your site, then you could see the result.

For a tough keyword target (webmaster forum) you will need to use long tail keyword like "best webmaster forum" "top webmaster forum" "webmaster forum tips" etc. in which related to your main keyword. This is to specifically target your audience in the web.

I will note about using these keywords if I start a new webmaster forum. I'm feeling so difficult because Google is really a giant guy in SEO

So, how is relevancy defined within the search engines? It’s a combination of the keywords in the Title Tag, URL String, and meta-tags and how densely they are within the content of the pages. A good keyword density is around 3% and Google is very strict with this so do not over this percentage.

I don't understand what you are saying but with Google, it didn't care about that, even they don't need to put exact keywords on the title tag but still getting top search engine.

Google just updated it latest and final version of the penguin 4.0. This is an algorithm that picks up in real time. You might get away with it once but rest assured that the google penguin and penda would catch up in a hurry . To avoid being slapped by google write relevant content and try not to post robotic content and please don't try any farming . Avoid stuffing your website/content with keywords because that is another sure way to get a google penalty.
