Hi,

I have a facebook page for my brand sitting in position 3 in google. It was sitting in position 2 previously below my main domain but it keeps getting dropped by some fierce competition from a competitor.

Can anyone help on how to increase the rank of my facebook page?

Thanks.

You should check what your competitors done and do it also.

can you specify for what keyword your facebook page ranks? And why you want your facebook page to rank well? instead first you should target to rank for your website for useful keywords related to your niche.

You should focus in the niche market and look at what your competitors are doing. Search for keywords which can bring in more traffic and eventually bring your page in the top

Make your site an authority and it will also impact positively on your page in the serp than it is now.

If they succeed, what shall they be complaining about? How will life have meaning?

Seriously. You want people to skip over your main site and go to FB?

You people are bound and determined to fail.

I wish you the best! I sincerely hope that your FB pages someday outranks your page!

Then you can sit back and say, "I made it!"

      You rock!

Are you trying to make me read the post a second time?

The page i mentioned is the fan page.
And you may be ranking and still not be an authority.

Well, you wrote site, not page. And Paul's point still stands: why on earth would you not make your site the authority

Thanks very much for your responses.

Most of all Paulgl for your unwanted and unnecessary sarcasm. You are officially the reason why there is so much wrong with this world.

Just to provide a bit more context, due to the nature of my product, I make more sales from my facebook page because people are looking for reviews and special offers which the facebook page has. If I had the choice, I'd have my facebook page ranking above my site as...the niche I'm in, people feel more comfortable buying after having looked at a facebook page. I've made xxx, xxx.xx from my facebook page last year, xx,xxx.xx from site. Strange but true.

I'd have to agree with Paul, albeit in a kinder tone. There is no reason at all why you cannot have specials and reviews on your website. You say it already ranks #1 so I guess you think being #1 and #2 will generate even more sales. You are really only competing with yourself and they just get an extra discount from the #2 listing (which might be why it sells more).I just have to wonder if the main site wouldn't do just as well or better if it was offering the same deals. It definitely has a much better shot at gaining authority that could be spread to other pages which could be used for selling other things than a facebook page does.
