Buying Links? A quick guide to get some value
- SEO |
First rule -- always check the incoming links to any page site you are looking to buy a link on. Without Pagerank as a guidelines anymore people are using Moz's Da and Majestic Trustflow,
Both can be gamed so just going off numbers is a no go. Yes you still have to use some metrics and the two can help you filter domains you would like to look at closer but DO NOT just go of numbers.
Second - don't overpay because the seller is giving you some line about traffic or how powerful they are. Heres the deal - you CAN buy entire domains that are expiring for the cost of registration that have DA and Trustflow that are not spammed. At the lower end they "Drop" and can be registered (if you are quick about it) EVERY DAY. To use the metrics (assuming the backlinks check out - again Never buy on just a number) I would pass on any Trustflow site link under 12 unless it was $30 or less (and yeah that is even high to me)
When i say I....I rarely would buy a link. Its an expensive way to go for one link.
Theres a whole lot of people here in the exchange area from what I can see (and in other parts of the internet) trying hard to get people to pay a lot of money for links at prices you could own the whole domain and put content on yourself. Don't give them your hard earned cash. At their prices you could buy entire domains and use them for all kinds of ranking of more than one link and one site.
Just a quick guide and warning.
