Are $5 link building gigs at Fiverr worth anything?

I have been looking at Fiverr gigs versus link building services by "professionals" quoting $1000s ...

Some may say you get what you pay for.

But has anyone benefitted from the $5 gigs?

Or are they really a waste of time?

Every person selling SEO gigs on fiverr benefits to the tune of 5-Fiverr's cut every time they sell. Lots of them sell lots of times.

The fiverr links gig is only $5.

Cleaning up the fiverr link profile is only $5,000.

      Do the math.

Sounds like back link cleanup is a profitable business. Maybe I should start one.

I'm far from an SEO expert. However, my impression is that many of the "professionals" that charge more are previous Fiverr type sellers that heard that if they raised their prices people would consider them more professional.

      That's funny.

      Doubtful but still funny.

There's a slight difference between an SEO and a link blaster.

This is a pretty straight-forward one. You do get what you pay for - how could something cost $1000s, yet something else of the same quality that requires the same amount of effort costs $1000? If you're paying $5, the process is being automated somehow and the links obviously aren't being generated organically, which means that the process is trace-able, which means you're eventually getting penalized for trying to cheat the system.

At the same time, the SEO companies which charge $x,xxx are billing you for the time it takes to apply their expertise in link building the correct way for your website. This costs a lot, so it's helpful if you're in a niche where you can actually recoup the cost if the company does a great job for you. They are promoting your business, but it's your responsibility to make sure that you can turn a profit based on the traffic that you're getting.

I might not waste time with the cheap gig, but I would hire someone for a moderate price who had a clear plan of action for getting you results and I would closely supervise them and review what methods they use.

Agreed. But, at the same time, charging someone $1,700 per month for 4 quality links per month is also a complete rip-off. And, trust me, I've talked with companies who do exactly that.

I've used Fivver for back linking. But, I couldn't say it did really anything for my site. Or, offer. It didn't get me higher, on the seaches. Or, increase my joins/sales. I don't know, if they have this type of program. Or service. To track, back links. To see, if it performing like it suppose too. Ex. Showing people clicking on the back links.

I guess that gig got you to 6 figure income. Or not.

Did you know the secret to 6 figure income before or after you used fiverr? Just wondering.

Bro i do not suggest Fiverr for link building, you can do this by your own.
I do it every single day, after i post on my website i search on google about website relevant to my niche then i starts commenting on every blog/forum.
Now i have 49 backllinks after 2 months of hard work.
i Suggest you to buy one of the seo courses on UdemyGood luck

  • Probably its just a person with Scrapebox or some other software that lets you automatically create backlinks.

If you're going to try it, don't do it with your main site.

(btw, scrapebox is a software used by many blackhat people out there, but is also a great whitehat SEO tool, and great for scraping leads)

I think it depends upon the seller himself. Very few of them are professional, but most of them are not. You have to be sure before hiring them.

Quality does come at an expensive price especially in the online realm. If you hire the wrong professional, you run the risk of being penalized. However, not because an SEO expert is charging high, it already means he/she is reliable.
As a general tip, learn a little bit more about SEO so you would know the right questions to ask when you are hiring an SEO expert. Also, look for the ones who can give you a clear SEO plan. Once you hire a professional, make sure you are tracking the projects progress.

It totally depends on the link building gig itself. Buying a gig that offers hundreds or thousands of links is not wise and could land you in hot water with Google.

If your website gets a sudden spike in links that's inconsistent with your regular link pattern they will know and could penalize your site.

You can however buy a link from a guest post or just ask for a certain link or two in your various niche or market. Using them sparingly along with regular link building efforts can give you a boost.

You do NOT want to use Fiverr as your main source of building links though, in that regard they are worthless.

I had bought fiverr links a few times first starting off and there is DEFINITELY 99.9% crap on their however I have found one gig that I know for a fact works so I use it in a speicific way that helps SEO TREMENDOUSLY! So yea if you can find a way to sift through the BS there are some gems in there but fiverr is also good for graphics and logos and simple stuff but even then you have to sift through some con artist there as well

I have tried a lot of gigs at Fiverr (link building included) and it did nothing for me.

I also tried "guaranteed traffic." Hey, I have an open mind. You never know!

I do use them for e-covers though. As mentioned there are some good gigs on there for graphics.

Let me ask you if this sentence makes sense in 5 years (no pun intended)

"The biggest turning point in my business is when I started using Fiverr. After that, things started falling into place: $2000/month after 2 years became $35,000/month: It was one of the best decisions I ever made"

How do you feel about that sentence?

What do you really think the biggest upside is?

Not saying much downside, might as well give anything a shot, but what do you gain by aiming *that* low?

They do actually help with some ranking, but you cannot spam it all at once. but if you are talking about getting first page ranking with highly competitive keyword then it might not be that useful afterall.

They're absolute garbage and I wouldn't even use them for Tier 2 or 3 link building. The top sellers get people to leave 5-Star reviews in exchange for a bonus and they feed off these reviews to get more noobs to buy their crap. You won't rank your site for $5.

Its no good as others are saying. Though they can help you if you are doing reviews on Yotube, to rank quick for product launches in the internet marketing niche.

But in the long run they are useless in my opinion.

I'm not an expert but one thing I like to do is create a video centred around one of my blog posts, upload it with a link back to the post in the description.

Then, I use a $5 to have the video submitted to 20 video sharing sites (with the description & link).

20 backlinks for $5 and I dont really see it doing any harm but hey this is just what I do.

See I have some different opinion here, infact there are some fiverr gigs which are worth to use but overall it is better stay away as it is very difficult to find good seller in these days. You cannot achieve ranking using only Fiverr Gigs and there are no as such proof that anyone has achived using only the fiverr gigs.

But fiverr is best choice of Graphic, Videos and all Non Link Building and SEO works, even you can use for SEO audit but better to avoid it for link building.

    They are pretty terrible generally.

Unless you have a test website you can test them on before using them on your main site then don't bother, and even then I bet only 1 in 10 are any good to you, so for $55 to find some good links you may as well just pay for good links in the first place and save your time.
