From a SEO standpoint do these links have value.

If I comment and get links back from relevant blogs will this help boost my ranking as PART of my backlinking strategy obviously along with some other things.

Other than that I've been trying to find guest post but its tough in my niche.

Any other fairly white hat tips anyone can share. Not looking to screw around with PBN's and what not

    You will need to be very careful while allowing only relevant comments to your section. You can convince the influencer in your niche to write a review or a blog for you, it really makes a difference.

    Blog comments wont help with ranking. At very best, they might drive some traffic to your site. I dont know what is your website's niche but you can go for guest posting on topics which are loosely relevant to your niche. For example, I read a post about person who handled seo of insect control service website and wrote a guest post about gardening tips. and this post helped to get huge amount of traffic and backlinks. I hope you get my point.

    Comments are usually nofollow but they can bring in a lot of referral traffic. Since they are nofollow so they wont help in SEO purpose but they can help you in reaching out of other web masters and getting a chance for guest post.

    Try to get comments in your niche only and post quality comments not just those generic ones.
