The only way you can lose the page views is if your changed meta description is worse than initially. In other words, if you want to change it, try to make it more keyword rich without actually spoiling the quality of the description or title

Your meta description should not make any difference to where you are ranking, but it can make a big difference to the amount of people that click through to your site. Make it enticing and read well, around 150-160 characters in length.
Your TITLE can make a big difference in both ranking and click though rate, so be careful. Keep your main keywords in the TITLE.
User also except to see the correct content when they click from the search results to your site. So make sure the text on your website corresponds to your TITLE and meta description. Then when the user lands on your page they will spend more time there and likely explore a bit.

    Hope that helps

If your website isn't that powerful then changing title tags can drop the sites rankings for that set of keywords if you are looking for an exact match.
The titles you are proposing seem relevant, and there isn't that big a change so your rankings should be ok.
Before changing title tags I usually test keywords in PPC to see which have better CTRs. I also pay a lot of attention to the terms my clients use and not what people within my industry use.
    To target new keywords.
    - keyword in title
    - title needs to make sense as a sentence
    - keyword closer to the beginning of the title it's a common practice
    - keep it up to 70 characters long (google will truncate longer titles)
    - also use your brand / site name somewhere
If you have any cunfusion, feel free to ask.

If you want to change Meta title or description for your web pages then you can sure do that but make sure that if you really feel that it is not proper and must need to change then only apply changes otherwise it may be possibility to lose current ranking.

Honestly, description won't make any difference as it is tiniest factor in ranking I guess. Changing title can make huge difference. You should try various description to check click through rate and keep best one which is performing well.

In case you`re going to change the titles and descriptions for a number of pages - first check the pages and find the queries they are performing for the best way, then just consider the context while creating the new titles, so that they would stay same- or become only more relevant to the queries you tend to get visits for.

From my experience, changing the descriptions should make little difference to the rankings, just make sure it will also meet the users` expectations and show the relevance of your page to the best-performing queries.
