Is it a regular SERP position or a Google News position?

A regular SERP position simply requires SEO.

A Google News position requires a site/page that has been approved by Google News.

Why are you in the news?

How are they destroying your reputation If it's just a regular keyword?

        I don't get what you're saying?

        Anyways...

If it's a regular organic SERP position you'll have to rank at least 9 more pages plus the page you already have ranked to get the problem site/page pushed to the 2nd page of Google SERPs.

Create more positive reviews, social accounts, pages about your keyword. And try to rank them up. If your positive sites goes up then it will be in bottom. You have to spend time and effort. You also can try creating spammy backlinks for that site, which is against you. If you can bring some spam link on that site then hopefully Search Engine will down it. I am also trying to learning the process. I think here's lot of experts who can help us!

It's a local news site, don't build links to it. Just build a bunch of random pages from authority sites targeting the keyword in the page title.

The news site should eventually fade away on the first page of the SERPs. The exact keyword is only mentioned once in content on the webpage, not the page title.
