Hello All,
I would like to optimise my url links and page descriptions for my product pages. What would be the best way of going about it.
1. Create a new page and redirect the url to the new page (temporary)
2. Edit the current page and do 410 on the old url
Cheers

Do the old pages have links pointing at them? If so, do the redirect.

If not, it really doesn't matter much. I would probably do the redirects just in case you miss switching over any internal links so that you are not throwing up 404's. Plus there might be links you don't know about.

What you would WANT to do, and what might really NEED to be done are kinda 2 different things.... I would start with altering the page text to start and let all of those changes settle before getting into messing with the URL's.

I would say as important as the URL may or may not be, the on page text is probably more important.

Success is an ACT not an idea

Thanks for all your help. I changed all the product page information first and will leave the urls for the mean time.
