Hello guys, I have a query regarding google analytics

I have a contact form on my landing page. I get traffic through both Adwords PPC and organic traffic.
How can I differentiate whether the contact form is getting filled through paid advertising and through organic traffic. Can somebody please help, Is there any way to track it? Should i insert two analytics code , one for organic and other for paid..or is there something different thing i should do to track both separately..

I haven't done this before but I guess you need to linkup adwords with analytics for such tracking.

There may be tutorials available on youtube where you can look for the solution.

Hi there. You should be able to tell through Analytics. Do you have the form tracked as a goal or event? If so you can tell be the source...

Adwords and Analytics also easily link - it should be in your Analytics admin panel (Adwords Linking).

If you have any issues with this then please don't hesitate in giving me a yell..

    Oli

The core difference between Pay Per Click traffic and organic traffic is the cost incurred by the advertisers. With a PayPerClick program, the advertiser has to pay each time a user clicks on the Pay-Per-Click advertisement, whereas with organic traffic, all leads and clicks that are created are free.

Awesome, but that's the answer to the title not the answer the OP is looking for. It helps to actually read the posts you're answering/replying to, you know!

Set the form completion up as a goal in your analytics tracking.

You can set an Adwords Conversion goals for that specific page in analytics and Adwords. When someone clicks on your ad and fills out the form on your Adwords landing page, you will be able to track it as a goal completion.

Also, you can ad a string after your url that will tell you where the lead came from.

Only add tracking codes, if you understand how to install them for proper reporting.

  • Hi Mamtasoni !!!

Use Url builder to create unique tracking url. And place that in your Ads as destination urls.
