That is a very long and complex answer you're looking for, friend. Luckily, there's free information galore online. This forum is one of the best places to learn, just do some looking for SEO-related posts and learn, learn, learn.

Is the home page a static page? If not, make it so. Make it be about 1 keyword with not too much competition. If you go for a competitive keyword, do the same and get backlinks...

Use related keywords on the same page.

Ranking, by the way, starts with good keyword selection. Good keyword selection means: buying keywords (if you're selling something), how-to type of keywords, if you're doing adsense and other non-direct selling, or a combo if you're advanced which you, given your resources (money, time, skill, assistants) can rank for profitably.

Keep in mind that the name of the page (title) is the onpage element that Google gives most thought to when ranking, so use your main keyword there.

Also, don't forget to interlink your pages (but not randomly... best would be for you to look into silo structure... Yukon, on this forum, has some good posts on the subject. So does Mike Friedman... Others too, but I can't think of them right now.

      I just bored myself. Ciao.

All good advice but void of any needed expansion to the point of making it sound like "you do just these few things and you'll be page 1 in no time". I'm assuming from the OPs wording that he's not too experienced here so we don't want to oversimplify anything and create false hope. Appreciate your answer, though!

It's not an easy process, pal. Unless you're someone famous, you can't make your way up to Google at first try.

So, what you can do now is ask us: "What can I do to rank higher on Google?"

Well, there are lots of answers you can find here in WF. But, let me give you a speck of it.

      1. Always update your website with fresh, 100%, interesting and valuable content.
      2. Do SEO.
      3. Promote your website on your social media accounts.

Good luck, and let us know how we can help you further!

Non-indexing of webpages could be due to -

    (1) DND issues, can be easily tracked in Google search console
    (2) website accidentally blocked by robots.txt
    (3) http redirection in homepage
    (4) status code errors related to website or server.

Please come up with website name,

Getting ranked in google is 3 things:
    - Quality original content (structure it the way Google wants it)
    - Generate a handful of quality links (costs almost nothing and can be done in a matter of minutes)
    - Generate some human activity so Google knows you're real and not just a spammer

    The ranking Triad:
    - Content - keywords, domain name, tags (title tag), site, structure
    - Links - (inbound, outbound, authority)
Activity (traffic, RSS subscriptions, comments, updates) (update content regularly, are people commenting)

This is from a course i got for free, is this accurate? it was made during the caffeine update

      First, I disagree:

Google doesn't care about original content. If I spun the article on your homepage and did better SEO than you (specifically, more good backlinks), your original content is toast, my copied /spun content ranks higher than yours ever did.

And you don't have to be constantly updating content... Yes, if you keep adding stuff and you do SEO for it, it helps, even a lot. But if you've done your SEO right, your SEO right (unless you're a newspaper or such), you don't need to do constant updating; you don't need to do any updating for years (I know, for I have not lost position though I did not update in years).

You don't need commenting for SEO, purposes. It might help you show off/become an authority.

The way to get traffic through Google is to pick the right keywords (keywords that convert, have some traffic, you can rank them #1). They are right about this one. Too many people pick keywords that are not worth ranking for and rank them, or try to rank keywords that are too competitive for their resources/skills.

They are right about backlinks. Backlinks do get you do rank higher... If you know how to get good ones and can get enough of them (what enough means changes from niche to niche, product to product, service to service). However, good links cost more than almost nothing and, generally speaking, can't be done in minutes... Well, not many, not enough.

They are right about structuring your site. Especially if by that they also meant internal linking.

No, not ranking pages (in red).

Generate a handful of quality links (costs almost nothing and can be done in a matter of minutes)
If only life was that easy.

      Links - (inbound, outbound, authority)
No two links are equal so that statement is silly.

Overall I'd say whoever created that free course doesn't know how to rank pages.

      From the content itself.

From other sites in your niche (either PBN (your own sites smartly connected) or from other people's sites (It's not easy to convince strangers to link to your site, but it can be done, especially if your content is, indeed, good and useful to their visitors).

If you're selling shoes for men, contact someone who's selling pants for men.

If you're selling dog food, contact a vet for a link, or someone who sells cat food, or dog therapy.

There are quite a few threads discussing this topic on this forum, do some research.

Why son't you try to create links manually rather than generating?
