301 links would take a bit of time to index try pinging them or sharing over social media websites.

You cant rank free short links in the serps. Only thing you can do is buy your own short domain and rank the content that you publish on that.

OP said he wants to index the links, not rank them. There's a difference between the two.

Most people who want URL shorteners to get indexed are using the shorteners for tiered link building to power up their tier 1 links. URL shorteners are great for doing this but they can be hard to get indexed sometimes.

The best way to get a URL shortener indexed in my experience is to send social bookmarks and social signals to them. Social bookmarks can naturally get indexed pretty fast and sharing your URL shortener on Social Media can give it a push too. I've also found that Ow.ly is one of the best and easiest shorteners to get indexed too.

Yes you can index Bitly URL Shortener using targeted keywords. Here is the example of Bitly links that has already been indexed without targeted keyword https://s29.postimg.org/xwohnm3hj/index_shortener.jpg. I ranked them on search engine with ClickBank hoplink URL (direct link) that generate 700 clicks but with no sales. This method is very simple (use backlinks to push them up) and please don't abuse it otherwise we can't rank it on search engine anymore. Thanks.

it's my first time hearing this. I thought it's just to shorten your links so it fits in whatever social media you are posting. What I can say to you is this, I see these shortened links similar to redirects. Just take them as that. You can focus your energy to other seo methods out there.

Why on earth you want to index those shorten URLs? They are just to keep url sharing easy.

Does it matter whether a link shorterer is utilized, although tweeting links to recently printed webpages may really help them get listed quicker?

I have to agree with yukon and altonroot, this is for tracking purposes and if you trying to rank for certain keyword or link then I don't even bother. .....indexing this url? - Not Sure What He's Thinking?
