    Just keep your content current. Google loves new content.
    Build quality links and use analytics to try to determine where your traffic is coming from. Use long tail keywords to rank higher for searches. Make sure your <h1> tags and Page title contains the keywords you want to rank.

    Don't get to upset about not ranking for a given keyword phrase. Just build good solid content and find other keyword phrases to rank for. If you keep adding new content and stay on topic you will move up in ranking. SEO takes time and effort.

    Avoid keyword stuffing. Don't add keyword in just to get rankings. Google is on to this and will penalize your site if you do. Matt Cutts who is the former software engineer for spam at Google said you should never use a keyword more than a couple of times. If you do google may drop you ranking.

    Adding new content that related to your subject on a regular basis will go along ways in boosting your ranking. Google is trying to move away from keyword centered sites to content centered site. It last update hummingbird is the first stage of doing just that. It focus on the intent of the content not on keywords.

    good luck

    If you did all the SEO you would be ranked.

    Are you really building links to post pages?

    Also I see you have created multiple parts which is not effective technique in my opinion as that will create a sense of confusion in google. Also upon checking the links on ahref I can see that you dont have much links and that too from links which does not have good domain rating.

      Ok I have about 120 links built. The highest is PR4 the majority are 0.

      Note: I will build higher quality links, maybe build a PBN with an expired domain that already ranks high and link to it?

    I'm actually seeing you on the bottom of page 2 ( eastcoast USA ) your onsite SEO isn't all that. your img alts are not to hot. your linking between pages needs refined, and I would say your keyword density is way excessive.

    Here is the deal with multi part articles.. you really want the first page to rank above and beyond 2 and 3 and 4. you need to link to page one of the article at the very top of the page. on page 2 and 3 and 4. you need to ensure that you are crossed linked at the bottom of each page to the other 3 pages. IE at the bottom of page 2 you want links to 1 3 and 4 and the bottom of 4 you want pages 1 2 and 3 linked to.

    Lots of mistakes, but those should give you pretty quick boost

      One more questions, would you say it would be smart to rank each of these multi-part keywords for a different phrase?

      I have noticed google getting confused. I had part 2 and 3 ranking at bottom of 2, then part 4 ranked where it is now. Then they all disappeared and then only 4 came back.

      If I rank each for a slightly different keyword would it stop the google confusion?

        I would say no. A part of on-page SEO is controlling the juice within your page. Do the onpage linking as I have suggested.. chances are better than good Page 1 will be the page to rank well. IF NOT all the interlinking can only do you some good. By placing the Link to the first page of the article on pages 2 3 and 4 gives the visitor the opportunity to read the entire article, and not just part 4 - This corrects the obvious UX ( User Experience issue )

    And what if your competition was doing the same thing?

    If you are on page three for something, then I guarantee you are ranking on the first page for something.

    The trick would be to exploit that.

    Find what pages google is sending traffic to. Exploit it.

    Why do so many people want to fight google?

    Work with them.

    Google does not love current content.

    They don't rank pages due to new content.

    If they did, then you would need new content to rank anything.

    But then everyone else would be doing that current content thingy....and we are back to square one.

      Give me some tips, I looked at the top 3 pages on the first page. There on site SEO sucks but i think they are there due to there domains authority.

      Maybe I need to link to higher authority sites?

    Build some internal links on your site from relevant, internal pages. Use your targeted keywords as anchor text. Google also looks at a site's internal linking structure when ranking websites.

    I also got that feeling... stuck! Last year, traffic was pretty average in the last 6 months. This year, it has been better than the start of last year, even better than the later months this year. What I do know is that the effects of SEO would take time. Whatever SEO you do now, you'll get the benefit in the near future. So, so long as you're doing white hat seo, keep on pushing. Also, don't forget to adapt to changes. Google changes, and you should do the same.

    Oh, one thing, try to figure out what you competitors are trying to do. Check their site out. Check their backlink profile. You might find something you can do to upgrade your methods.

    Hi Mham2k,

    At first glance I see that you haven't even begun to SEO your web pages. Not even the basics are done yet.

    According to your post you are trying to rank for the search term: "Online Profit For Dummies"

    Yet, without even visiting your website I can see that you haven't even bothered to include the keyword in your page title. Sorry, but the most basic application of SEO hasn't been done.

    Wherever you thought your were learning about SEO, please purge it from your memory.

    Start with the basics and you should see better results:

    There's always more you do with onpage SEO.
    First thing I would do is go through your entire site to make sure the images you're using are not duplicate content.

    I found a few that are duplicates.

    Try rotating them on their X axis to see if that does the trick.

    Then work on getting them compressed. They need some loving in that department. See Screenshot by Lightshot .

    After that start working on your First Byte score.

    At least that's where I would start.

    Good luck!

      Ok, I just did this but i have a question on how to fix the last "Cache Static Content" section. Google is telling me that this is an expiration duration setting in my caching program but i don't see it.

        Add header expires to your .htaccess file which will cache content on your reader's browser:

        Example:

        Code:
        <IfModule mod_expires.c>
        ExpiresActive On
        ExpiresByType text/html "access plus 1 days"
        ExpiresByType image/gif "access plus 1 weeks"
        ExpiresByType image/jpeg "access plus 1 weeks"
        ExpiresByType image/png "access plus 1 weeks"
        ExpiresByType image/x-icon "access plus 1 years"
        ExpiresByType text/css "access plus 1 weeks"
        ExpiresByType text/javascript "access plus 1 weeks"
        ExpiresByType application/x-javascript "access plus 1 weeks"
        ExpiresByType application/x-shockwave-flash "access plus 1 weeks"
        </IfModule>
        Alternatively, you can use this, depending on your .htaccess setup

        Code:
        <filesMatch ".(ico|pdf|flv|jpg|svg|jpeg|png|gif|js|css|swf)$">
        Header set Cache-Control "max-age=84600, public"
        </filesMatch>
        If you're using an NGINX server add this to your NGINX settings:
        Code:
        location ~* .(js|css|png|jpg|svg|jpeg|gif|ico)$ {
        expires 2d;
            add_header Cache-Control "public, no-transform";
        }
