DMOZ listing Opinion

Hi All,

Do you know DMOZ? Do you think its worth it to be listed there?. I reckon that for SEO purposes directories are not as effective as they used to be but do you know the platform?. Do you think this could bring benefit to a site?

    DMOZ, also called as Open Directory Project, is the biggest directory source on Internet. There are thousands of categories and millions of websites listed on DMOZ directory. You might be wondering, whats the big deal about DMOZ? Well, there is a big deal. If your site is listed in DMOZ, its considered to be a well known and well optimized site. Not every domain name or website is accepted here.

    DMOZ used to be a lottery till three years ago. If you got listed there you got a quick boost in SERPS and PR but it is only marginally effective now.
