Often I come across people who say that learning SEO isn't a piece of cake.It involves so many technicalities and other stuff.

Is it really hard? or this is just an SEO phobia?

Definitely phobia....new ideas are like clay, you mold them the way you're either taught or decide to perceive them, either through mass psychology or youth or decision. Through all my years, I have learned that "overthinking" occurs often and only when you let it (shiny object syndrome).

When you control the way you perceive what you're being told or what you're deciding to pay attention too, you can make clearer decisions. The consumer mind is average and it's often in this field! Remember to look past the sales page. Making 4k a week is only possible for those who have learned and tested how..allot of newbies don't invest anything and they run in this circle for weeks, months or years. Everyone is different.

The mind molds ideas and those ideas are created by sales pages, mixed with the emotion of MMO combine, it creates that phobia or "obsession" every newbie goes through. Only you know what this feels like. It's different for everyone. Some people spend thousands of dollars on products, some people $100, others start out by using free methods etc...

SEO is a piece of cake. In a nutshell all it means is that you get other websites to talk about you. Either by creating a profile, contacting them directly, developing a great piece of content etc...getting links shared, justifies your backlinks.

Nothing matters other than making the effort to invest in quality for your project. Short term gains always work but at the end of the day, you'll wanna stop hustling and just bring in a steady income. I and some people on my team are on year one. As long as you invest towards your motives in life, everything should come easy becuase you're just that "willing" to learn about it and succeed..

I feel like you're mixing morality in this...This isn't philosophy, this about making money. Morality has no ties to this..money is easy to make, when you know how...it doesn't mean anything..stop running circles..just launch your projects...**** the rules,,,just study and build back links...you will only learn when you spend time or money..

if you're having trouble accepting things. you need to buy a good course or study programming so that you understand how computational systems work.

        How I launch a site
        day 1
        - set up \ configure wordpress
        - order content
        day 5\9
        - get content \ post
        - index
        - share blast
        - backlinks
        day 20\30
        - start ranking
        - measure
        - scale \ rinse repeat

        it's not difficult.

technicaly speaking...all seo is blackhat.. seo was developed to take advantage of Googles ranking since the internet has become popular.. It's only been around since about the 1989. So it hasn't been long at all...

The debate is mass psychology! MMO is a consumer market and we all buy things in the same area collectively. MMO is an ATM.

Sales pages and "opinion". SEO's vs Web Developers. Their education is much different from each other.. Every SEO can benefit from studying Web Development i.e the history of the web, , history of computers, how to code, algorithm, logic etc... Steve Jobs once said "Coding makes you think".

The debate doesn't mean anything...MMO isn't about morality, this isn't philosophy..it's about making money..thinking about minute things make simple ideas complicated..it's you psyching yourself out. Focus on how to build back links and start practicing..if your goal is MMO worry about that not what commercial seo companies push to everyone.

Thanks but you said that i need to stick with the latest trends. For instance, one would say that social bookmarking is dead while other school of thought will argue and say that it is yet alive. So in such a debate, what o I do? How would I know that which one is right and which one is not.

And if I am getting traffic from that bookmarking, users come and go then what's the purpose of doing all this stuff then?

  • Learning SEO is not at all hard if you can grasp the concept of Search Engine Optimization.
Implementing SEO properly is tough, many novice and beginners aren't properly able to execute seo strategies for their clients. This is because they fail to generate high quality backlinks. The key here is to understand how google's search engine works & its penguin algorithm parameters. The most important tool they don't make good use of is Google Analytics, Google Keyword Planner & Google Search Console. Even if you understand the ins and outs of these tools then also there is the question of writing content? Many people get stuck at this stage, coming up with stuff about the relevant topic is quite difficult.

I know my efforts, I have been doing all that in a right way then how come one can say that I am doing something which is not legitimate at all.

Rember this has nothign to do with "morality". You're technically not doing anything wrong if it's mainstream...that in it self is a social contract of "okay".

Google didn't invent "SEO" they invented page rank. SEO was discovered because people were gaming page rank. Larry Page one of the founders of google, came up with the idea. All SEO is blackhat because it's abusing page rank..SEO is deliberately building backlinks. The original concept of page rank is what social networks solve today (natural link sharing)...However this is what the algorithm is based on (back link building) so Google can't change it, they can only add to it..That's the shitty thing about machine logic.

this is why it's so important that people coming into SEO understand the history of the web and everything that's involved. How coding works, what HTML, CSS and JavaScript is..It teaches you web standards...all the rules that Google implements today have always been in place but as a social contract not as entity of force or what some would like to consider "censorship" (it's not censorship to defeat spam)...marketers\SEO's made the algorithm change because back in the day the results were nothing but SPAM!!

where this whole get rich quick thing ever came to be!! why MMO is so big!! because getting rich overnight used to be a possibility..now, it's more like getting "richer" within a year or a couple of months depending on your keywords..

PAGE RANK has never changed because Google can't change it because it's pretty much impossible without building a brand new system...All Google can do now is sweep their serps, find things that trigger their flags and then deindex them if they want too.
      {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[10977748].message }}
      • Profile picture of the author salmonjames21
So that's more like commanding a society then? Whenever you wish, you give importance to something by indexing it and then taking things to the next level by de indexing it?

OK for instance I admit that its all about Page Rank and people ditch but can you tell me that how come this is possible that I would be getting more than 100's and thousands of back links?

SEO takes time, patience and skills to master. It's not a course you master overnight. Yes, it's quite difficult, but when you master it, it becomes quite easy.

I think the quote "Practice makes perfect." applies to SEO.

So, if you want to master SEO, practice it regularly and consistently!

No, not at all. SEO is very easy to learn. First, you have to understand why we do SEO. What is the motive of doing SEO? If you know the reason and act accordingly there will be no confusion. So, basically you have to learn the WHY first and then HOW. If you learn the HOW first and then want to find why the result is not coming, then it is going to be tough for you.
If you do not understand by practice, do a formal certificate course. Then it will be much easy for you. There are so many SEO Institutes in Delhi like SEO Institute, SEO Training Institute, DSLM etc etc. They will help you to clear all your doubts for sure.

Yeah, it's not difficult at all. You're literally just linking other websites to yours and using keywords or just your URL as the anchor text. It's nothing more than that.A few minor details are there but it's all common sense.

The only fators that come into play is if the site that is linking back to you is a spammer site or has been de-indexed. This whole "SEO is difficult" is literally just a market mind game. As long as people can run in circles trying to figure it out. People can make money off of you.

    Hello,

Search-engine optimization (SEO) has gone through a series of evolution over the years. Older tactics, which focused on keyword-based optimization and black-hat practices, have become obsolete, and modern strategies, which focus on user experience, have come to replace them. Throughout its history, SEO has been a cost-efficient and incredibly valuable strategy for business owners of all industries.

SEO is a time-intensive strategy, and it does demand significant attention, but it has reached a point where it’s no longer difficult. With the right mentality and a sound commitment, any business owner can start building an SEO campaign -- and reaping the many benefits.

If you can make your pages more relevant, more trustworthy and more satisfying than the other pages currently appearing in the search results, you have every chance of seeing your own website in the highest position. Although there a few technical elements to consider, mastering SEO is almost indistinguishable from mastering the ability to create a high-quality website.
