Search Console Not Accessible??

Hello WF,

So I have a webmaster tools account and I check my search analytics through search console. I've moved up in rankings quite well the past 3 weeks after putting in some good hard work to update my on page. I used to be a decent size adwords customer spending around $3K a month. I recently stopped due to the fact I am learning seo and trying to go the organic route.

My question to you guys is: Does google try and make it more difficult for you to operate and build up your SEO if they know you've been spending decent money with them? The past week my rankings all tanked a bit and then I have this issue with search console first saying I have to reverify my account and now it won't let me see my website stats after 1/4/2017? Has anyone had issues with google tools or had your rankings tank right after shutting your adwords account down?

My guess is you were getting a lot of traffic via your PPC and not via your SEO efforts.

Not sure what is happening with the Search Console though.

AdWords and organic SEO have nothing to do with one another. You can spend millions and not have it affect your search rankings. Likewise, you can spend nothing and get ranked #1.

Not sure why you would have to re-verify your account. I've never heard of such a thing. Sounds like somehow, your verification tag is not working anymore. Have you tried calling Google or asking on their forum?

Finally, Search Console seems to be an odd place to track your analytics. Why aren't you using Google Analytics for that? How is Search Console helping you see what you rank for and that you were moving up in the rankings? You can't see anything that remotely resembles comprehensive keyword phrase data from any free Google property anymore.

Well I get search analytics from search console. I use google analytics but I find using the search console-->search traffic-->search analytics gives me a much more detailed explanation of how I am doing per keyword. This is not paid traffic I cut that off a month ago, I haven't paid a dime since. Using the search console actually lets me break keywords down by clicks, impressions, CTR, and average position and its all organic search.

Most of the times it happens even for me. Need to know the exact reason behind this.
